Last Month the Fed raised it's key overnight lending rate by a quarter of a point to a range of .25 percent to .50 percent. The raise was due to the fact that the Fed thought that our overall economy was recovering.
At today's (January 27, 2016) meeting the Fed announced it will keep the rates steady. There is no immediate rate increase. Does this signal a global slow down?

In just a very short span of time, here in Southeastern Massachusetts, we have witnessed the white fluff of a January winter dusting turn to high winds and images of a pending horrific event heading our way. New York City has called for up to 30 inches of snow, Philadelphia is getting slammed - there is a second band heading towards Philadelphia. Winds are so strong in Philadelphia up to 30 miles a hour gusts. Stay safely inside, stay off the roads, this is a serious event, lovely to look at from inside your homes!

From Tennessee to New England, the white snow has fallen in huge amounts as it heads to Massachusetts. Presently Atlantic City is having coastal flooding and this is anticipated to be a trend all along the Coastal areas of the East Coast! New York City has shut their roads down, NYC has a TRAVEL BAN now in effect!
This is a dangerous storm, emergency vehicles and road clearing equipment must be able to access the roads inorder to save lives of those who may need (2 comments)

Starting at 2:30 pm there is a BAN IN EFFECT in New York City in the downtown area. Only emergency vehicles will be allowed on the road in this area. The authorities are stating that they are serious and there will be serious penalities for those who do not abide by the restrictions!

How exciting, the Boston Seaport is attracting the likes of General Electric for their corporate headquarters. It has been announced that the 8th largest corporation in the United States will be moving it's corporate headquarters from Conneticut to the Seaport in Boston, Massachusetts.
GE Chairman and CEO, Jeff Inmelt was quoted in the Boston Globe as saying: "We want to be at the center of an ecosystem that shares our aspirations. Greater Boston is home to 55 colleges and universities. I believe I will target Licensing in Massachusetts. I just completed auditing a 40 hour salesperson's class as well as completing my ITI Training program a few months back - now all that is left for the Instructor and School licensing is my TB test - goal for tomorrow.
