marketing: Marketing idea that won't bust your budget! - 11/19/07 02:54 PM
I am always coming up with new marketing ideas and strategies and love it when I find something that won't break the bank, which wouldn't take much! LOL!

I do a monthly newsletter that I send out to my clients via email already so I thought I would work with something I already did. My broker had some neat magazine/newspaper stands with our logo on them so I decided to approach a popular local family diner to see if they would allow me to place one by their door... I print my already designed newsletters and regularly fill the rack with them. I also … (8 comments)

marketing: Rookie Agent- better keep your zeal! Let me tell you why! - 11/19/07 02:15 PM
Isn't it just like us as humans to loose our zest over anything when the newness wears off? Do you remember how it was when you had the new car and if a piece of lint got on the floor or a fingerprint was on the window, you immediately took action. Time passes... kids spill the drink in the floor, french fries are on the back seat.. no hurry... Remember when you first fell in love and you had a drive to talk to your new found love each day for hours about nothing? 15 years later it's a quick- see … (6 comments)

marketing: What Is the Cost of Listing? Good Question! - 08/19/07 01:10 PM
Here's the scenario, you have been working with this seller for a couple of weeks and they have finally decided to list their house with you. You fill out the listing agreement, they sign on the dotted line... now what?
This is the moment you have been waiting for and now it is time to advertise. Maybe you are wondering what exactly is it going to cost me to list this house? I don't remember learning this during my Real Estate classes... First thing to do is ask up front when you sign on with a Brokerage- what exactly is it … (35 comments)

marketing: Tapping into free tools & marketing! Great resources are out there! - 08/10/07 03:03 PM
Some may say I am cheap... I like to think I'm thrifty. Well, the bottom line is- I just don't have the budget I would like to spend on marketing. Who does? I am always looking for new things to stretch my budget. As time goes on, hopefully my marketing budget will increase but even then I'd like to think I would be smart enough to tap into the great resources available out there. I recently noticed an ad in a newsletter I get online -DVD's for sellers that Lowe's will send out with your name and info for- are you ready... FREE. Yes, … (31 comments)

marketing: Attention Listing Agents!! Tips to pass on to your sellers! Staging=Sell - 08/02/07 04:23 PM
Got a home that just won't sell? We have all had those, haven't we? Maybe a little staging could make all of the difference! Maybe your seller thinks and may tell you- I CAN'T AFFORD IT! Really? Can they not? How can they not afford to in today's competitive markets? Here's a few ideas to pass on that are inexpensive or in some cases cost nothing at all. Just a little time and effort involved!
Home Staging=Your home Selling!
Banish the clutter! Put away that collection of I Love Lucy paraphernalia! No, everyone does not like Star Wars action figures! Take down the family photos! A little home staging can go … (7 comments)

marketing: Little to no budget to market? Cheapskate ideas from me to you! - 07/31/07 04:50 PM
Ok, so I am a new agent and I work another full time job to feed my family while I get my Real Estate business going... I don't have the money to invest large amounts in marketing and I am SURE there are many more people out there like me!
A few ideas I have implemented in my quest for cheap and free things... 1. I downloaded the free trial of Publisher to make some brochures (eventually I will be able to afford to buy it)... I put them everywhere even at Walmart with my card in the HOMES magazines by … (19 comments)

marketing: Need economical marketing & advertising ideas! - 07/13/07 05:03 PM
Newbie agent here needing some ideas! Does anyone have some creative & economical ideas for marketing and advertising? I just got my license a few weeks ago and am off to a good start with 2 listings and several buyers and want to make sure I continue to grow my clientele. I have the cards, labels and flyers and could really use some more ideas that a new agent might be able to afford to do to get their name out to the community. My company also does a full page ad each week in the local paper with our pictures on it. … (6 comments)
