This is the fourth local real estate market update for October 2007 I've prepared in as many days, and things are more optimist in Gambrills thatn some other nearby areas. I say that because statistics released by MRIS, the regional multiple listing system, indicate that Days on Market for a property in Gambrills is down significantly from last year - Over 32%! Additionally, the number of units sold in October 2007 remained seven, the same as last October.

There is good news to report about the Crofton real estate market! Statistics released by MRIS, the regional multiple listing system for this area, indicate that homes took less time to sell in October 2007 than they did in the same month last year. Days on Market were down 11.54% to 69. Additionally, 42 homes sold in the 21114 zipcode last month - 7.69% more than October 2006. Take a look at these charts:

On this Veteran's Day, there are many ways that people all over the country are reaching out to say "thank you" to veterans. The Crofton Village Garden Club uses flowers. Instead of having a speaker at the November meeting, we hold a workshop to create red, white and blue flower arrangements for wounded veterans who are recuperating at the Veterans Affairs Rehabilitation and Extended Care Center nearby in Baltimore. 120 arrangements were created by club members, this year, and delivered to in-patients at the Center, which also provides medical treatment and rehabilitation on an out-patient basis.
