If you saw Landscape Your Home to Sell - 5 Tips to Sell Green on Bankrate.com, you already know that this Crofton real estate agent was one of the "experts" quoted throughout the article.  If you missed it, please allow me to share my 15 minutes of fame.  Just click on the link at the beginning of this paragraph. You might even want to post a link to the article on your Facebook page because there is some good advice from other authorities, too, including a landscaper in Atlanta and an appraiser in Houston. It's timely advice for home sellers, … (5 comments)

crofton real estate agent: Crofton Real Estate Sales Up for April - 05/12/10 02:43 AM
Crofton homebuyers were out in force last month, motivated in part by the tax credit deadline of April 30, 2010.
Whether you measure April sales statistics against the previous month or the same month a year ago, the number of units sold was up.  Average and median sold prices were fairly steady, compared to a year ago, but down from March.  The best news for consumers of statistics is probably seen in the number of Days on Market - down significantly from last month AND last year.

Looking at this chart, compiled from monthly statistics published by MRIS, you can … (11 comments)

crofton real estate agent: Planning a Holiday House-Hunting Trip? - 12/14/08 10:05 AM
If relocation to Maryland is in your short-term future, you may be considering a house-hunting trip during the week between Christmas and New Year.   No doubt Anne Arundel County is on your short list if your new job is anywhere in the D.C. - Baltimore Metropolitan area, including Fort Meade, Andrews Air Force Base, BWI Airport, or Annapolis.

While you're here, you may want to stay at a Bed & Breakfast in Historic Annapolis, where you can experience both history and modern-day Anne Arundel County.  There are more than a dozen locations within walking distance of the U.S. Naval Academy, … (2 comments)

crofton real estate agent: Me-Me'd Again, in Maryland - 12/01/07 06:06 PM
Krista Fuchs sent me the nicest note, tagging me for a me-me and thanking me for encouraging her as a Newbie.  My initial inclination was to beg off, since I've been me-me'd before and had a book me-me plus Adam's extensive interview for Sunday Bloggy Sunday.  What more could I possibly say that you haven't already heard about me?  But her note was so nice, I couldn't say "no"...

So here are five perfectly irrelevant things about me that have somehow missed the earlier reveals:
1.  I won my first golf tournament at nine and golfed competitively 'til I was about 18, winning a number … (25 comments)

crofton real estate agent: Agents not worth the air they breathe? Critics are wrong! - 08/11/07 09:16 AM
Why is there such a giant disconnect between perception and reality, when it comes to the VALUE of good real estate agents?
There is more to selling a home than finding a buyer, and more to buying a home than finding a house.  Yet many consumers (and even some real estate licensees) feel that real estate agents are not worth the air they breathe.  Just to start the dialogue, let me suggest these as some of the reasons why consumers may not appreciate or respect the VALUE that real estate professionals bring to any transaction:

Becoming a real estate agent is relatively easy and inexpensive (translates to "anyone … (84 comments)

crofton real estate agent: Crofton Maryland Real Estate Market Update - February 2007 - 03/13/07 03:41 AM
CROFTON MD REAL ESTATE MARKET SHOWS IMPROVEMENT
The real estate market in Crofton (21114) was looking up for home sellers in February, compared to the two previous months.
I consider the best indicator of local market trend to be total new listings compared to total new sales.  When new listings significantly outnumber new sales, it is a sign of growing inventory.  Based on the law of supply and demand, a growing inventory means falling prices and more days on the market.  In February there were 59 new sales, 3 more than the new listings (56) in the 21114 zipcode.  Yay!!!!  Let's hope this turns … (7 comments)
