holiday travel: 3,400 Miles and Counting - 12/30/08 01:15 PM
One more day of travel, and tomorrow we'll be home (sweet home). 
Since 12/20, when we left Crofton, MD, we have traveled through D.C., Virginia, Tennessee, and Arkansas to the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas.  After a few days, including Christmas at our daughter's house, we headed to Houston to see our son and then traveled through Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina to Pinehurst, North Carolina - our favorite golf resort - for a one-nighter.
As we passed road signs for various cities and towns along the way, names of ActiveRain friends came to mind.  If only we had time to stop and meet … (19 comments)
