terps football: Will it rain for the Terps season-opener tonight? - 09/05/11 02:07 AM
The Randy Edsall era begins tonight for Terps football, and we'll be there as the Terps take on the Miami Hurricanes.  We've been season ticket-holders for over a decade, and the season opener always has a certain magic.  When it's a night game, usually followed by fireworks, all the better! 
But alas, there's a 90% chance of heavy rain, according to the NOAA.gov website - a pretty reliable source.  Now THAT could put a damper on anything, including this much-anticipated football game.  Will that stop the Woda's?

College football and tailgating, sunshine and balmy weather... tomorrow promises to be fun day in College Park, Maryland - especially if the Terps win, but even if they don't.
Our family tailgate expanded exponentially when my nephews started going to Maryland and their parents took over hosting responsibilities from us.  That's because both of the boys played in the Maryland marching band, and band friends often came back to the tailgate after the game.  Over time, some of the parents and siblings of band members joined in, and many have continued to tailgate with us even though they've all graduated.  … (16 comments)

Terps football has a new look this year, and I'm not talking about their uniforms, stadium, players or coaches.  (Although a huge addition to Tyser Tower is under construction.)
