I am a retired Greater Sacramento Realtor. My career spanned 40 years beginning in 1981, and ending in 2021. MY INTERESTS & HOBBIES: In addition to family activities, I am active in a Sacramento history group, and a local Sacramento area genealogy group. I actively research several family names. I also have a special love of cooking. For several years, I worked at an international software development company, which was represented by people from all over the globe. During that time, I was fortunate enough to learn special recipes from a number of them. They include, Indian, Caribbean, Spanish, Italian, Mexican, Romanian, Hungarian, Irish, and Carolina "Low Country" recipes. I have developed a special interest in mixing certain recipes from varying ethnic groups to create unique recipes and combinations not usually seen. Another of my favorite pastimes is gardening. And, I often find myself spending hours in my garden, and wondering where time has gone! I am interested in photography and cameras. This interest began as a child, and has remained and was perpetuated in my Real Estate career, family activities, and travel. Last but not least, I enjoy travel - both foreign and domestic.

Summer is the time of year homebuyers with families often like making their moves.  They find it less disruptive to the school activities of the kids. Many of these homebuyers also believe it is essential to move to a high-income neighborhood in order to facilitate having great schools for childr...

I often think California Gold Country offers an endless array of amazing experiences for both locals and visitors alike.  This Saturday morning, I rose early, packed a picnic lunch, and gathered up my son, Randy, and his family.  We loaded up the car, and ventured the 65 miles south east, to Cali...

Yesterday, when I wrote about driving through California Gold Country, I neglected mentioning a brief stop along Highway 12, in the tiny hamlet of Wallace.  Among the power lines adjacent the road, is one really special pole.  Atop sits a penthouse with fortunate residents, who enjoy lofty views ...

All though deep down I know I’m a sidewalks, curbs, gutters, kinda gal, I also know when things get tough in the city, a city gal sometimes needs to get the Hell outta Dodge.  So, when the phone rang this morning, and the voice on the other end suggested a little drive to a place where gentle rol...

The following picture was taken twenty years ago in 1994.  It is of my my daughter Jill on her wedding day, and myself.  What I especially remember about the weeks leading up to the wedding, is the suit I'm wearing.  I had hung it on the refrigerator to remind me not to eat, so I could fit into i...

After the long spell of sitting tight in your existing home, you have finally been able to accumulate a little equity, and move up.  Or, your employment required that you relocate to another city.  If you have already vacated your old home, and moved into your new place there are things you sh...

Well we are in the thick of it with summer, here in Sacramento.  Thank goodness temps are backing away from the 100 degree range seen the past two days. With company in town, I feel fortunate the Greater Sacramento Region has a number of attractions to captivate visitors, and residents alike.  Wi...

Homes listed For Sale in Sacramento County this June, logged a 57.6% increase in numbers over home listings in June of 2013.  The improvement in home inventory numbers has been continuing for several months.  However, SOLD homes declined –6%, while homes moving to PENDING status were 11.2% above ...

I hesitate to post this picture taken when I was about age 6.  There are two reasons for that.  #1 - It's black and white, so you'll have a clue how old I am.  AND #2 - You'll realize I'm not a natural blonde. There is a reason I have to chuckle when folks want to hold a retro party, but they hav...
