california caverns: Cavern Tours in California Gold Country

I often think California Gold Country offers an endless array of amazing experiences for both locals and visitors alike. This Saturday morning, I rose early, packed a picnic lunch, and gathered up my son, Randy, and his family. We loaded up the car, and ventured the 65 miles south east, to California Caverns in Calaveras County.
Calaveras County lays claim to a variety of exciting cave and mine tour activities. In addition to California Caverns, there is Moaning Cavern, Black Chasm Cavern and Mercer Caverns.

With several days of dreary fog, and then rain today, to say I have visions of getting out there to explore the world would be an understatement!
There are so many great places in the Greater Sacramento Vicinity, and still more amazing places within a 100-mile radius of our city. It's natural to be itching to be on the road again. Several days ago, I blogged a title, "Banking With Magellan." It mentioned my method of banking road trips I hope to make when either time or weather again permit.
