highway 50: Scenes Along Highway 50 in Northern California

(slide show contains 14 images) It was my usual Saturday ritual of finding my way over to the local Farmer's Market @ the Sunrise Light Rail Station this morning. The cherries looked glorious, and tasted great too. After treasuring away the cherries and a few other items into the car, I moved behind the wheel. Somehow, I wasn't anxious to return home. It had been an unusual week, with a litany of unforeseen occurrences and the unexpected death, of fellow ActiveRainer, Carole Provenzale, of New York City. There are times when I switch the ignition of my car, and have no idea where I will journey before driving back into the garage. Nearly always Saturday morning finds me at the local farmer's market, which congregates in a local shopping center parking lot. Sacramento has been experiencing morning fog these last few days. I admit the dismal looking mist can sometimes make me feel a tad melancholy.
