pandemic gardening: A Pandemic Sunflower - 08/18/20 08:56 AM
I have sometimes shared the story of my pandemic garden this season. I planted 6 tomato plants which have become a high producing hedge. And, there are the squash plants doing what squash plants do, as if they were on steroids!
However, it is the tale of a crazy Sunflower which has blown my socks off! I planted a half dozen Sunflower seeds, but only one sprouted. It grew and grew, and for the longest time gave no sign of providing a blossom. I was amazed when it hit six feet, and then nine, without any bloom. Finally, when it reached eleven … (28 comments)
