I hope all you mothers out there had an especially joyful Mother's Day. I spent yesterday morning with my son and his wife, along with one of my daughters and a granddaughter. We attended the fun packed Strawberry Festival in nearby Roseville. I hadn't realized the event would have a pirate theme, and it was such a joyful surprise to have dozens and dozens of pirates present when we went through the gates. If you are an ole Pirate lover like I am, the remainder of this month in Greater Sacramento may find you calendaring two local events of interest you!
On April 18th at 10:00 am – Pirates and Pirate Wannabees will be gathering at Hagan Community Park in Rancho Cordova, for SHAKEDOWN. The purpose is to bring out the equipment and gear, set it up and make certain everything is ready for the season. They will also begin teaching any new Pirate Wannabees their jobs.
