mi: Saugatuck Mi Dee Dee's Clients from 2012 Enjoy Hayride, Bonfire, Harvest Dinner - 09/28/12 12:12 AM
Saugatuck, Mi - Sept 22nd was the date of the Hayride, Bonfire, Star Gazing and Harvest Dinner for Dee Dee Hanson's clients from 2012 and those who had referred clients to Dee Dee last year.  The weather was not the best so the Star Gazing fell by the wayside as all we could see were clouds but clients enjoyed the dinner and the hayride and there was plenty to drink!
We got a couple of rides in before the rain and another one after dark.

Come on over to Saugatuck!  Become a Dee Dee Client and join the hayride next year.  … (0 comments)

Saugatuck, Michigan's Oval Beach is ready for locals and visitors.  Come on over!
After I helped the Citizens in Support of Saugatuck Township win the millage for legal defense and even there was no lull in the activity in Saugatuck Real Estate, I took a few minutes out (actually a little more than a few minutes) to visit Oval Beach  My daughter took this very unflattering candid shot.
I HAVE TO GET TO OVAL BEACH MORE THIS YEAR!  Beach time is very important to recharge my batteries.

mi: Saugatuck, Mi Cottage Gets Ready for the Market with Scary Tree Removal - 05/03/10 04:43 AM
Things are strarting to heat up in Saugatuck Real Estate.  Properties are selling and more are coming on the market.
I am getting a typical 1940's cottage ready to go on the market.  Before we could clean up the yard, we had to remove a dead tree.  Even though this is in town, it has an very secluded back porch and yard.
It was amazing to watch the crane take down the dead tree from this property in Saugatuck, Mi.
The tree was wedged back behind the cottage near the fence bordering a neighboring property and the base had rotted … (0 comments)

mi: Winter with the critters in Saugatuck, Mi - 01/04/10 01:20 AM
Recently I have had a mouse living in my garage - at least I thought he was living in my garage.
Yesterday I got in the car to go into my office at Coldwell Banker Woodland Schmidt in Douglas, Mi.  After I pulled out and shut the garage door and was ready to take off, there he was on my front hood looking at me through the front windshield.  I have to admit that he was really cute.
Anyway, I stopped and got out to move him off the car but he ran down the hole by windshield wiper blades.  So I just took … (0 comments)

This market study for this year since January 1 versus last year from January 1 to July 23, 2009 indicates that it is probably the best time to get a home in Saugatuck Township for quite a while.  The number of sales have decreased from last year as has the average price and median price of homes.

mi: When will the foreclosures in Saugatuck and Allegan County, Michigan SLOW DOWN? - 01/02/09 06:25 AM
I guess my crystal ball is broken.  I can't tell you the exact date that we will be at the bottom of this market.  BUT I WILL KNOW WHEN WE ARE SIX MONTHS FROM THE END OF THE NEW FORECLOSURES.  How will I know this? by reading the Allegan County News.
Every week the new foreclosure notices for properties in Allegan County where Sauguatuck is located are listed in the Allegan County News behind the sports section.  Each notice indicates the date that the property will be "foreclosed by a sale of the mortgaged premises" at the County Courthouse.  This date is usually shortly after the … (0 comments)

If you can possibly get away from what you are doing, now is the time to come to Saugatuck!  We must have 3,000 shades of green going on. Everyday there is more and more color.  All the flowering trees are blooming.  Every bend in the road brings a breathtaking sight.
Yesterday as I was driving I took a few photos to share with you all and in the process spooked five deer down by the Kalamazoo River.
Later when I was taking the sunset photo,  seven blue herons flew right over my head into the twilight.
When I finally got home, a … (2 comments)

mi: What to expect when your buyer purchases a foreclosure? in Allegan County, Michigan - 03/08/08 08:25 AM
What can your client expect when he purchases a foreclosure?  They can expect a really good deal when they finally locate their property.  What else can they expect?  They can expect quite a bit of work as they look and a lot of frustration in the purchasing process.  You, as their agent, can expect even more.
Since December, three of my clients have purchased foreclosures in Allegan County, Michigan.  One was in Clyde Township, one in Ganges Township and one in Saugatuck Township.  Buying a foreclosure is like walking on hot coals to reach the treasure - It can be compared to an Indiana Jones … (7 comments)
