salem: The Silver Linings of Stormy Showings - It's all about the Rain! - 03/11/10 02:27 AM

I awoke to grey sky, wind blowing, rain sheeting down, and today, I'm showing houses. You might say, "Oh no! Schedule for another time..." But this is Oregon, and if I did that...well, you can only imagine I'd have to find a new career.
Mailmen have nothing on me!
The fact is, I actually LOVE showing homes under these conditions. Sure, I get a little damp. I even might begin to resemble a racoon when my mascara runs, or Sasquatch when my hair explodes into a frazzled mess, but remember this isn't about me. It's never about me.

salem: Feathered Garbage Disposals - Don't Throw it Out, Chicken Out! - 02/26/10 05:57 PM
The Chicken Revolution has been sweeping the nation and I have been on the front lines in Salem, Oregon attempting to get urban chickens legalized in our community.
Chickens are amazing creatures and many people around the nation have discovered the wonders, joys and benefits of having a few good hens in their backyards.

It was in my purse... then one day it wasn't. My GPS... GONE!!!
I wasn't sure when the "wasn't" part occurred. Just know that when I went to use it, it wasn't there.
I searched the car, the house, the car, the house and I could not find it. I offered my childen a $20 reward fro the darned thing and they couldn't find it, even with the monetary incentive.
I remembered it being in my purse on Friday and then it not being there on Tuesday. So somewhere in that timeframe, said GPS disappeared.
I didn't mention the missing $400 … (6 comments)
