RSS Feeds: What Are They?

The purpose is to have web sites of your choice deliver their latest news directly to your monitor. So instead of having to visit dozens of different websites and blogs to get your weather, sports, … (8 comments)

pdf: Subscriber management services save you a lot of time. - 11/06/07 01:22 AM
If one of your marketing goals is to effectively use your website and email to get more business, at some point you will need subscriber management software, also known as campaign management software. There are thousands of companies out there that do this, but in my opinion, Constant Contact is by far the best.
My experience has shown me that you can manage "groups" or "lists" of email addresses fairly easy until you get a few hundred, or if you start getting 10 or more new leads a day and have several people want to unsubscribe. Suddenly you're spending 15 to 30 … (0 comments)

You can create more than a dozen different types of questions (multiple choice, rating scales, etc.), choose from several templates, change design elements, collect responses, analyze the results and more. pdf: Informal Poll: How much time do you spend "blogging" each week? - 11/02/07 02:02 AM
I'm pretty new to blogging, and I'm already finding it easily takes up 30 minutes every morning. That's 2.5 hours per week and 10 hours per month. Is this a good use of time. Really?
How much time do you spend "on the Blog" and do you think it's worth the time?
I'll tally up the votes and share it next Friday.

Happy Friday!
Being in the email newsletter business, www.eNewsletterSolutions.com,  I know first-hand how important keeping your computer and emails "clean" is. And, if you've ever had a virus, and had to go through removing it -- or worse -- having to reformat your hard drive, you probably do to.

AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition is a popular software solution to provide basic security protection on home and non-commercial computers. AVG is an easy-to use, anti-virus utility that also offers free monthly updates. The program … (6 comments)

pdf: Useful and FREE 411 Directory Assitance - 11/01/07 01:40 AM
I'll say upfront this is by no means bullet-proof -- but it does come in useful when you have no other alternatives.
Do you avoid using directory assistance because you don't want to pay the $1 to $3 charge? If so, you're not alone. But, there's a free directory service -- so jot this down -- 1-800-FREE411.
Jingle Networks, a Boston-based company, offers this free alternative to expensive 411 calls via your cell phone or land line. The directory assistance service is sponsored by company advertising, so the trade-off is you have to listen to a short commercial to save a buck or … (1 comments)
