Steve Brown’s column in today’s Dallas Morning News wrote about how home prices in January rose 4%. We have definitely seen an increase in buyer and seller activity since January and what we are waiting to find out is if the tax credit is helping to inflate these numbers.
With the FED not increasing the rates we shouldn’t see the huge increase in interest rates as it was reported earlier in the year. So, with the rates staying low even with the tax credits gone we should still see a large amount of home … (0 comments)
Today the FED announced that it would keep the interest rates at the record low. The FED has pledge to keep it low to help the economic recovery and the high unemployment rate. The FED did say that they are seeing the economy getting better and the unemployment rate is starting to stabilize.
When the FED meets again and if they still feel the economy is getting better and unemployment dropping they may raise the rate which in turn could lead to higher mortgages rates. Lower rates gives buyers more purchasing … (0 comments)
