There is a saying on Maui, it's Aloha Friday no work till Monday. We will see, maybe open house Saturday afternoon. This weekend is looking like sunny skies and perfect day to hit the beach for some surfing and kicking back with some friends.
I love the Aloha spirit in Hawaii. The Hawaiian cultural is all about the dance, music and eating good food with family and friends.

Saturday morning in Maui. We just went through a period of rain and lots of windy days. Today the sun was out, my son gave me a call that the surf was really good. So after my morning coffee I headed down to Hookipa Beach Park for a morning surf. I love paddling out in the line up, always met with smiles and high five from friends that I been surfing with for over 40 years. Windsurfing on Maui has been a growing sport since the early 80's. People travel from around the world to enjoy the wind and waves on Maui's beaches. Places like Kanaha and Spreckelsville are popular windsurfing destination. The crown jewel of the northshore is Hookipa Beach.
Hookipa is also a popular surfing spot which is my home break. We just had a major swell with up to 40 ft waves at Jaws. To big to surf for me, so I was working at my home office and my wife gave me the call that Hookipa was going off. So I grabed my video camera … (2 comments)
