garden design: May challenge, my favourite plant - 05/16/23 07:59 AM
Moving into a new home allows one to create a new garden. Builders will plant some basic plants,  but that canvas invites you to paint with your favourite colors and plants.
Whilst I do not have the deep pockets of the Du Ponts who created Azalea woods at Winterthur, pictured above, I was bale to plant this lovely orange azalea, in the main photo called Gibraltar, it is deciduous so it drops its leaves too. Harder said than done but one of the flowers we have admired over the past few years when our yard is looking kind of drab was "Canna Lillies".
This one is just beginning to flower, as you … (3 comments)
