history: Valley Forge in Winter - 03/08/18 01:57 PM
At the birth of the nation after a battle at Brandywine where the British relentlessly pushed forward towards Philadelphia the defeated American Colonial Army retreated to Valley Forge to protect the crossings and regroup. It is a famous point in American History. Did the British realize how weak the Americans were and how easily they could have crushed them by bringing them to another fight?

Eventually that newly formed army took on the might of an Empire … (21 comments)

history: The Beginning of Devon and The Devon Inn - 02/23/18 02:23 PM
In January our business association, The Berwyn Devon Business and Professional Association hosted Michael Morrison, President of The King of Prussia Historical Society who gave a wonderful presentation about the beginning of the town of Devon and the History of the Devon Inn. This short clip gives an overview of the reason why Devon was formed and how the Inn came to be.
I always find it fascinating how a town or an area gets developed the way it does. There is so much history in our area with the Paoli Massacre, Valley Forge National Park where the Continental Army sheltered from … (5 comments)

history: History is all around us on The Main Line - 01/21/17 03:14 PM
Living on the Main Line outside of Philadelphia it is easy to overlook the history that lies all around us.
Yes we live near Valley Forge National Historical Park but there were lots of other events in this area. I mean this is Philadelphia, the capital of the country in those days and where the constitution and bill of rights were released.

history: 2017 may it be a year of celebration for you - 12/31/16 08:37 AM
However dark life may seem, how storm tossed the waves, remember...

This too shall pass and the sun will rise, good times will return, the clouds will part and things will improve. Where ever you are in life I wish you a blessed 2017 filled with all you wish yourself, but most importabtly health, for without that you have nothing, friends and family around you who support and encourage you, amd a dream or goal to pursue that challenges you to grow in this coming year.

Main Line Real Estate:
Wayne PA on the Philadelphia Main Line is a place filled with history and a great place to call home. Wayne developed over time, it was not till the first tracks of the railroad being laid in 1832 bringing visitors and J Henry Askin bought the first of three farms in 1864 that the center of Wayne began to develop.
You only have to look around to see the history is all around you, you just need to know where to look sometimes. Conestoga Road was originally an Indian Trail west to the Susquehanna in 1741, It was … (2 comments)
