pa: A new PA State Park - Big Elk Creek State Park

We were excited last week when we heard that Pennsylvania had created some new State Parks, and one of them, Big Elk Creek State Park was on our doorstep. Not surprising when we live in a 55+ development called Big Elk.
So, whilst it is not officially developed yet, and that is going to take some years, the park is currently part of the White Clay Creek Preserve. The Big Elk Creek flows into White Clay Creek and then into the Chesapeake.

pa: It's been a busy week

Well, I was going to post about my new listing, but the last couple of days have been hectic, so now I can post about my newest listing that is now under agreement.
Well, we had a little hiccup! The original buyers decided they did not have enough money to come to the table a mere two hours after making their final offer. So, after filong all the paperwork for that offer, we terminated and we had to go to a second buyer who was thrilled to have won the competition of the multi offer purchase.

Where does your food come from?
Here in Chester County we are very lucky, although we live just outside a major metropolis, Philadelphia we have access to some of the best produce from local farms, and our local county is encouraging this as well. Just look at this map for some of the choices, of CSA's, Farmers' markets or even just produce stands.
Also Chester County has a great resource in the A Guide to Local Farm Products in Chester County 2014, packed with information and resources.

Old Forge Crossing is a 40+ acre condo community, of one and two bed apartments and 2 bed town homes located in Tredyffrin Township, and is part of Tredyffrin Easttown School District. The recent release of numbers from the census bureau show the fastest growing townships in Chester County between July 2012 to July 2013.
Malvern Boro is a delightful place to live and the building of apartments on King Street may very well account for the large increase in population. What happened that I missed? I noticed in our office this Monday that several agents were at their desks doing paperwork related to offers that had come in over the weekend, myself included. Did I miss something about the economy improving? Did they start to offer people money to buy homes? Were these all investors trying to get deals done before the end of the year? No!
But it does seem that several buyers suddenly seem to be looking more actively and want to do a deal. I think it has become apparent to many that mortgage rates will not always … (3 comments)

Devon, PA is right in the heart of Philadelphia's Main Line. Years ago there was a Devon Hotel, now Waterloo Gardens and the Horse Show Grounds occupy the area. On May 30th 1922 President Calvin Coolidge visited the Devon Horse Show, one of the premier and oldest horse shows in the area for multi breed horses.

I recently met an interesting person, Bob Perkins, President and Founder of B & B's French Wine Club in PA. B& B's French Wine Club allows you to obtain French wine without going through the PA State Store system. Berwyn, PA on the border of Easttown and Tredyffrin Townships is hotting up. A new Bathroom and Kitchen shop is opening soon on Lancaster Avenue in the vicinity of the old Berwyn Hardware store. Alfredo a new restaurant is going to fill the gap left by San Nicola. Curves moved location a while back to have a more visible store front on Lancaster Ave. We have Medi-Weight Loss and an architectural firm filling the old Masonic building on Lancaster.
