Let's dive in and get to the bottom of this. Why do I have so many different credit scores?
When I open my credit card internet page, I can find a credit score. However, if I apply for a mortgage, they tell me I have a different score, why?
There are many different models for calculating your credit score. The credit card supplies you most often with a score calculated by the Vanatage3 model. This is a more lax model than that used by the person pulling your credit for a mortgage which is often referred to as a FICO score.

purchasing a home: Fall 2019 is now the time to buy a Main Line home? - 10/08/19 01:19 PM

For years we have been warning buyers to act now as interest rates are going to rise and all the indications have been there that this was true. But, for various reasons it has not materialized and we are still in a position when interest rates are extremely low, so much so that people think this is the new normal.
So for buyers today things look very positive for purchasing a … (7 comments)

purchasing a home: Frequently Asked Question: Why do I need a pre-approval? - 01/15/15 05:24 AM
Frequently Asked Question: Why do I need a pre-approval before seeing homes?

purchasing a home: Why you won't buy what you want...exactly. - 03/04/12 11:18 PM
Every buyer along the Main Line has a list of what they want from a home. Regardless of price point. The $150,000 one bedroom condo buyer and the multi-million dollar single family luxury home buyer. Many things on those lists actually are similar, just different scales. But every buyer also has a list of things they are willing to compromise on when they buy a home.
