thankfulness: Grateful for Active Rain. - 11/05/20 08:00 AM
I have been blogging on AR for a long time, with some stops away from time to time. What brought me back over and over again was the community.

I am so grateful for everyone here, the support, the encouragement and the knowledge shared and to which you can expose your self. As well as the long distance friendships built up in pen pal fashion.
When my middle son was in Iraq with his Marine unit, members sent packages to him with goodies which helped him through the months of deployment. I am sorry, I have lost track of who sent those parcels, … (30 comments)

I'm thankful for my parents
Both my parents have died. My father died 34 years ago, my mother six years ago. They were very different from each other but both made me feel loved and cared for. I had a brother and a sister, both older, yes I was the Benjamin, the youngest of the family. My mother mis-carried three times before she had me, she always said to me, I really wanted you. When I look back, it isn't so bad. We had some wonderful times, great vacations, tasty meals, three awesome sons, and now three wonderful daughter in laws and three grandchildren as of now. and I'm thankful for those times that were so enjoyable.
But, there were also other times we made it through, even though I didn't think we would. There were … (5 comments)

thankfulness: Have you tried...? - 12/01/07 09:53 PM
The last few weeks I have been getting ready for 2008. It started when I decided I was dissatisfied with my harvest for this year. Looking at my results I realized I had been a lazy farmer and it was nothing to do with the market. I sat down with my manager and we worked on a plan.  Something I was comfortable doing and would do. I started applying it straight away as I want 2008 to be a good year and you cannot reap if you do not plant the seeds. So I have been busy making calls, writing notes and emails. Prospecting. … (4 comments)
