Six homes sold in Ardrey Crest during the 2nd Quarter 2022, the same number that sold in the 2nd Quarter of 2021. This was five more than in the First Quarter 2022 when Ardrey Crest had just one sale. New listings decreased by six to just four homes compared with 10 homes one year ago.
Both average and median sale prices were up. Average sale prices increased 21.64% to $616,500 compared with one year ago. Median sale prices increased 22.39% to $615,000, setting a new record for Ardrey (8 comments)
4 single family homes sold in Reavencrest during the Quarter 2-2022 compared with three homes that sold in the same quarter of 2021. New listings remained low -- just six new listings in Quarter 2-2022, two more than in the same quarter one year ago.

While there's been lots of talk about housing markets showing signs of slowing down and inventory slowly increasing in April, we saw NO SLOWDOWN in Charlotte's Ballantyne area where homes sold in five days, median home prices reached record levels, and new listings and inventory were critically low. Home sellers continued to received a substantial amount over asking price in final sale price.
As a result, Ballantyne (28277 zip code) remained a home seller's market in April 2022, resulting from the continued lack of inventory, which dropped (14 comments)

NEW HIGH SCHOOL APPROVED FOR CHARLOTTE'S BALLANTYNE AREA A new high school is coming to the Ballantyne area in 2024. The Charlotte Mecklenburg School Board has approved the new $125 million facility, expected to open for the 2024/2025 school year. The new school will be situated on a 71-acre site in Ballantyne at the corners of Johnston Road and Community House Road. No name has yet been announced for the new high school.
