Charlotte's very popular Bike! Charlotte event begins on Friday April 29th and runs through May 15th. The 13th annual Bike! Charlotte event offers 17 days of bicycle-related events, whose purpose is to encourage Charlotteans to integrate biking into their daily routines. The event is sponsored by City of Charlotte Transportation Department, the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS), and Charlotte Sports Cycling.

Calling all jazz lovers in the Charlotte metro area! The Charlotte Jazz Festival begins next week on April 18th and it's not too early to order your tickets. The Charlotte Jazz Festival will feature concerts, free shows, club performances and much more, including a Junior Jazz Club and a Young Jazz Artist Competition. Headlining the Jazz Festival will be two performances by the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra directed by Wynton Marsalis. If you're a jazz lover, you can indulge all week long at great musical venues.

Ballantyne Breakfast Club's final 2015 meeting is on Saturday, December 5th. Saturday's guest speakers will include....Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Captain Todd Lontz from the South Division and Mecklenburg County Sheriff Irwin Carmichael, who will provide a review of the steps being taken to cut down on the increase in criminal actives in the city of Charlotte. City Council members have also been invited to attend and you can expect to see several of them on Saturday, along with our newly elected mayor, Jennifer Roberts.
