charlotte homes for sale: Charlotte Region 2019 Housing Market Facts At A Glance - 01/10/20 01:15 PM

Charlotte Region 2019 Housing Market At A Glance... And What It Means For You...

With a razor-thin 1.7 months of housing inventory at 2019 year-end, there is no doubt that the Charlotte region remained a seller's market in 2019. This is the most critical aspect of the Charlotte market right now, as it has been for the last several years: the lack of homes for buyers to purchase. Availability of affordable homes is really at critical shortage. It's the supply of homes, or rather lack thereof, that is helping drive Charlotte area home prices up and the housing affordability index down as … (20 comments)

charlotte homes for sale: What Happened In The Charlotte Region Housing Market: 3rd Quarter 2019 - 11/19/19 06:44 AM

Charlotte, NC Region Housing Market Report:
3rd Quarter 2019

Third Quarter 2019 Charlotte, North Carolina region's home sales continued the trends we've seen since 2015. Home buyers are still finding the housing market very competitive with higher home prices and a lack of properties to buy, especially in affordable homes priced under $300,000. Buyers looking for a bargain are still "hard pressed" to find one.
Meantime, home sellers continue to sell their homes relatively quickly and for top dollar, when priced right for condition and location. The "story" of the third quarter 2019 might well be about the continued decreases in the supply of homes available for sale across the region with a resulting … (14 comments)

charlotte homes for sale: Charlotte Region Housing: Is It A Buyer's Market Or A Seller's Market? - 11/16/19 09:29 AM

Is The Charlotte Region A Home Buyer's Market Or A Home Seller's Market?

With just 2.1 months of housing inventory overall as of October 2019, Charlotte could well be considered a "true" home seller's market. However, the answer to that question is not as straightforward as it would seem based on that low overall average of 2.1 months. The Charlotte region is actually a seller's market, a buyer's market, and even a neutral market. It depends on the price range of a home whether it's a home buyer's or home seller's market in Charlotte.

Charlotte, North Carolina Region Real Estate Report:
October 2019

Charlotte, North Carolina region real estate report and housing market snapshot for October 2019. Charlotte region overall remained a seller’s market in October 2019 with inventory remaining extremely tight, dropping 19.5% compared with October 2018. Despite lower inventory, the Charlotte market has shown resiliency and buyer demand for homes remained strong as interest rates dropped. It's also worth keeping mind that while Charlotte overall is a seller's market for homes priced under $300,000, there are price points where Charlotte is a buyer's market -- primarily for homes priced above $750,000.
Lack of inventory and small increases in new listings … (12 comments)

Charlotte Real Estate Update: Quarter 3, 2019

The Charlotte region's housing market in the third quarter of 2019 can best be described as having strong buyer demand and tight supply of housing inventory, which was down 19% compared with the third quarter of 2018. Lack of inventory saw average list prices increase 4.4% compared with the same time frame one year ago, while average sale prices increased 6.8%. No doubt that Charlottre remains a home seller's market as we look to the final quarter of 2019.
