The 12th annual Ballantyne Corporate Park's Color The Park School Supplies Drive, benefiting Classroom Central is underway. When school bells ring in the 2019/2020 school year later this month, 1 in 2 Charlotte area students will arrive at school empty handed, putting them behind on the very first day.
Some 50% of Charlotte region's students live in poverty. Classroom Central serves over 127,000 students and their teachers across 6 school districts in 199 high-need/high poverty schools. Tuesday, July 18th, is the first day of Ballantyne Corporate Park's 10th Annual Color The Park School Supplies Drive, benefiting Classroom Central. In recognition of its 10th anniversary of the Color The Park School Supplies Drive, the event organizers have come up with the following suggestions on how you can contribute:
1. Make a monetary donation with code “Color the Park Ballantyne.” Did you know that just a $5 donation will provide an entire class with pencils for a full semester? 2. Donate essential school supplies in your building lobby (26 comments)
Monday is the first day of the 9th Annual Color The Park Supplies Drive, benefiting Classroom Central, sponsored by the Ballantyne Corporate Park.
Classroom Central is a "free store" for teachers in six Charlotte area counties, providing needed school supplies to over 100,000 children living in poverty. Each year Ballantyne Corporate Park sponsors the Color the Park Marker Drive. With over 13,000 packs of colored markers donated in past years, they'd love to beat that number this year!
