Nothing like a little pandemic to make one appreciate things so often taken for granted in our "normal" lives.  My life this past week provided excitement beyond my wildest expectations!
 
First, our younger daughter, Carol, came to town from Colorado for a quick 48 hour visit. How exciting to have company!
 
Second, Carol and I went shopping at Marshall's/Home Goods for an hour. We didn't buy anything major... I bought some birthday cards for upcoming birthdays and a new leash for Bingo. Carol bought a pair of shoes. But just the idea of being able to go out and do some shopping like … (32 comments)

We always speak of home ownership as the "American Dream" and we've long thought of our homes as a great investment. For those of us who sell real estate, the financial investment aspect of home buying and selling is typically the primary thing we discuss with our clients. So it's easy to overlook the fact that our homes also are/should be safe havens for ourselves and our families. Our homes being our safe havens and  places of refuge is more important than ever as we all live through the Coronavirus pandemic and are being asked to shelter in place as much as possible.
