WalletHub's 2022 Property Taxes By State report has been issued. We've known for many years that one reason North and South Carolina remain major destination states is because of the reasonable property taxes in both states (amongst other factors). Both North and South Carolina rank amongst the 10 most "moved-to" states in various surveys.
 
According to WalletHub's 2022 study, South Carolina ranks as the sixth least expensive property tax state, while North Carolina ranks #20.
