Well, the weather cooperated yesterday for the 48th Annual Sharon Five Mile Road Race. This race kicks off the Sharon Fourth of July festivities. This year, the weather cooperated. The rain held off and it wasn't quite so muggy as to be uncomfortable. There was a comfortable breeze at Lake Massapoag, the starting point for the five mile road race. Runners started arriving by 8 a.m. to register, stretch and warm up. There were 107 registered runners. Just slightly more than half were from Sharon MA. The others were from towns around Massachusetts and a handful of runners from Rhode Island. … (4 comments)
