Hello from Turning Leaf in Callahan, FL a Maronda Community off of Lem Turner Rd. I have been here a few months now and have just gotten a feeling for this community and Callahan in general. It is really beautiful here with lots of ponds and jurisdictional wetlands and woods. All home sites are at least a half acre so the home sites are at least 100 ft. X 200 ft. I have talked to a lot of Realtors who have been in the business for many years who only remember when Ron Wolfe, Sr. would not co-operate with Realtors. The reasons were many but as soon as he passed away that changed. Ron Wolfe, Jr. almost immediately went back to co-operation with glee and excitement. We all know now that change in our industry is a constant and those of us who don't bend, break! I guess we here in Northeast Florida are a little spoiled when it comes to construction types. We, according to our local well-known meteorologist, are the most unlikely area to be hit among all areas of coastline from Texas to Maine. Unlikely doesn't mean, however, that we cannot be crushed. We just haven't really seen it here much and not really since 1964 in Dora days.
