shore homes: Casinos closing means more short sales

How sad that several casinos in Atlantic City will close costin our state another 8,000 jobs lost. Many of these employes have specific skills to the casino industry making re employment difficult. I'm sure I will be getting calls from many of the South New Jersey homeowners facing foreclosure. nj wake up! Lower the property taxes and make home ownership affordable.

The 1st point I must make is, do not hire a Realtor who works another job to supplement their income! Would you use a doctor or attorney that needed a part time job? I wouldn't. Trying to sell a shore house in South NJ? Here's some thought of why your home may not have sold! Many Realtors in the shore areas are still selling real estate the way it was 20 years ago before secure lockboxes came about. I have called to show cash buyers properties and needed to show 6-10 homes on a Saturday afternoon. The listing agents want you to go to their real estate office, pick up the key, show the house, return the key and do the same for each property. Efficient? Not in the least.
