real estate motivation: They constantly miss the mark. - 10/24/09 11:39 AM
President Barack Obama declared the swine flu outbreak a national emergency.
The declaration, signed Friday night and announced Saturday, comes with the disease more prevalent than ever in the country and production delays undercutting the government's initial, optimistic estimates that as many as 120 million doses of the vaccine could be available by mid-October.
Health authorities say more than 1,000 people in the United States, including almost 100 children, have died from the strain of flu known as H1N1, and 46 states have widespread flu activity. So far only 11 million doses have gone out to health departments, doctor's offices and … (3 comments)

real estate motivation: I am laughing my tail off! - 08/06/09 02:47 AM
I am laughing my tail off!
The conservatives are running the Democratic play book on town hall meetings and boy are the pissed!
The Liberal, Socialist, Democrats never said a word about Disruptions that were uncivil and clearly organized when Bush was President.
Move on . org, poured millions into smear and hatred campaigns and no one on that side of the aisle said a word.
Google never buried a single Democrat website when Bush was in power.
When bush was professionally made to look like the joker on Batman by a national publication, the liberals thought it was hilarious and … (6 comments)

real estate motivation: Price sells - 06/12/09 12:16 PM
Now, let's address some other areas that in my experience are a waste of your financial resources and just as importantly your time. We do virtual tours but not videos of our listings. I have found 2 things to be true about virtual tours versus a video of a property. One, video has to be shot at such a low quality in order to load correctly from the internet on most computers that it simply looks bad and costs way too much for what you get. The second thing is that a virtual tour is made up of a large number … (4 comments)

real estate motivation: "I will not let the competition define my business!" - 06/04/09 06:05 AM

"I will not let the competition define my business!"
~Terry Miller

It is amazing how many business people and in my case Realtors, let the competition tell them, this or that won't work here. What a bunch of nonsense! I am sure the competition said the same thing when Wal-Mart or Home Depot came to town. Now that very competition is dead and gone.
Never listen to the competitors … (13 comments)

real estate motivation: Talk about symbolism over substance! - 06/04/09 02:56 AM
Let the show begin! Well now we have congressional hearings on the GM and Chrysler dealerships that are closing. Talk about symbolism over substance!  Typical BS, the egos on the hill will say not in my district and then it will happen anyway. They will say they did all they could to prevent it, but a bankruptcy judge in New Jersey did it to them. SOOOOO Sorry! It has already been disclosed that only $450 was given to the DNC from the list of Chrysler's hit list. I can give you a hint about the GM hit list. Sounds like Bill … (4 comments)

real estate motivation: Recently I got a call !! - 06/03/09 04:27 AM
Recently I got a call from a very good friend from a past career. He informed me that the company that we had both been with was now gone. They were closing the doors. He and another old friend had wondered why it had gone down the exact way I said it would. Well before I go on, let me just say, I take no pride in being right on this occasion. I had a lot of friends affected by the closing of this business and I wish them well.
Ok, that being said, the closing of this business was easy … (5 comments)

real estate motivation: Do you have a PLAN? - 06/02/09 04:52 AM

A lot of the Real Estate books being written today are being written for agents that want to have a "TEAM or a "GROUP". Well, what if you want to be a successful individual agent? One of my favorite books is the "Millionaire Real Estate Agent" written by Gary Keller and Dave Jenks. In my opinion, this book deals with the best and only way to build a successful … (7 comments)

Looking at our national financial history and analyzing the current economic data, most financial experts agree that inflation is projected in the next few years.

real estate motivation: A Purpose? - 06/01/09 03:57 AM
"If you are given a sense of purpose, recognize it, then accept it."
~Terry Miller
I talk often about having a passion for what you do. If you add the passion you have to a purpose, all of a sudden you have an unbeatable combination for success. An example of this is the fact that I have a passion for recruiting, training and educating. The purpose of which is, to make as many people successful as possible. In helping as many people as possible, I believe I will have personal growth and rewards.
Simply put, having both a passion and purpose … (5 comments)

real estate motivation: It's all about Energy Folks - 06/01/09 02:34 AM

The year was 1992 and a group of ultra liberal Senators and Congressman Lead by the pompous Barney Frank decided everyone deserved a home.  So that very year they mandated that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac begin to loan money for housing to less qualified borrowers with higher debt to income ratios than ever before. Add to this both Fannie and Freddie agreed to take lower down payments from these less qualified borrowers. Lawrence B. Lindsey who was a member of the board of governors of the Federal Reserve stated in 1992 that "The regulatory issues in the 1990s will … (8 comments)

real estate motivation: Just send me the Bill!! - 05/29/09 03:19 AM
Let's see, we've got 700 BILLION for the financial institutions and markets. Then there is 17 Billion for the auto makers. Both mismanaged the business they had and "we" the taxpayer now have to bail them out for the good of the whole economy. Well, how about the folks that had a good or in some case a great business plan and got the living crap kicked out of them because of the industries we are now bailing out. Guess what ladies and gentleman, none of that money will bail you and me out. It amounts to building another chicken house … (2 comments)

I am assuming that if your reading this you are in the real estate business and it's because that's what you chose to do. If I could give you one piece of advice it would be to figure out what your passion in life is and figure out how to succeed financially at it. I absolutely love having a real estate business and think motivating and training new Realtors is some of the most fun anyone can have. I feel rewarded everyday that I can help someone improve their business. … (4 comments)

real estate motivation: For the Birds!!! - 05/28/09 09:04 AM

If you love birds the Tyler Texas zoo has some very colorfull pairs. Red is one of my favorites. I watched these 2 birds for about 20 minutes and they entertained me well. Wild life that is outdoors always brings me a calmness. As I have said before take a child or a loved one to a zoo near you and have some real fun!

real estate motivation: What are you afraid of? Can I tell you a secret? - 05/28/09 04:10 AM
What are you afraid of? Can I tell you a secret? We all have fears and phobias in life. As young babies we have no fear.  Everyone looks out for us and says; "don't or that will hurt", so you develop fears and worst of all hesitation. I have always tried to conquer anything I am afraid of. One thing I have witnessed and admired in all successful business people is the fact that fear of failure never enters their mind. They simply do not process fear in a way that most people do. Most successful people think like that young child … (3 comments)

real estate motivation: Today I want to try an experiment with you. - 05/28/09 03:16 AM
Today I want to try an experiment with you. Assuming everyone who reads this is going to live several more years, what would your obituary in the local business page of the newspaper say the day you die? Think about it for just a minute. Would it say loving soul mate and father or maybe you are a great community leader. How many people could perform your eulogy, one, two, maybe three? Would your business competitors miss you and praise your ethics and practices? Would your businesses go on and be just as successful? I hate to use this word because … (1 comments)

real estate motivation: "Today is the first day of the rest of your life". - 05/28/09 03:11 AM
Everyone has heard the expression "today is the first day of the rest of your life". We have all heard it time and time again and yet have any of us actually lived like it truly was the first day of the rest of our life. What are you doing today, right now; this second to ensure you will succeed the rest of your life? Ok you got me a little, I mean besides reading this. Are you helping with your son's or daughter's little league practice. Maybe you have a great book to read that will motivate you or even … (1 comments)
