sales: Assume the position!! - 05/14/09 09:27 AM
Politicians say solutions aren't simple, but they really are. If you make something complicated you are almost always doing one of two things. You are either trying to hide or cover-up some previous mistake or malfeasance. Or you have something hidden in the solution for somebody else you want to pay back. Both are common in Washington as well as state government.  Do you realize that our Political leaders do things everyday that would get you and I fired in the real world "we" live in? A politicians vote is for sale on almost every bill that is introduced. This is … (2 comments)

sales: Customer service! - 04/14/09 07:38 AM
One thing that you as a business person should always focus on is other services or products that you can offer your customers. You see there are front end types of products that get you started or "introduced" to your customer. Well, "NOW WHAT?" Of course you will email them and talk to them but are there other services or products you could provide them with that you could profit on? This is called backend sales and can be more profitable than the first or "front end" sale in some cases. For example, on more than one occasion we have … (1 comments)

I always want to stress that Real Estate can be as simple as you want it to be if we just focus on three things.

1.) "List It"
2.) "Sell It"
 3.) "Service the Customer"

Everything else needs to be organized and then minimized so you can focus only on the three things that count the most. In the Real Estate industry it is easy to get caught up in things that in reality won't do anything to help you make money, yet you will think you're busy and productive. The truth is unless you are selling a property … (3 comments)

sales: They think, this will work? - 04/06/09 02:26 AM
An economics professor at Texas Tech said he had never failed a single student, but had once failed an entire class. The class (students) insisted that socialism worked since no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer. The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class on socialism.""All grades will be averaged and everyone will receive the same grade so no one will fail and no one will receive an A."After the first test the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who had studied hard were upset while the students who … (3 comments)

Ok, I must be stupid! I have been looking at the bailout for awhile now and come to one conclusion. I am either and idiot or I am clearly looking at things the wrong way. I post a tax plan that would raise 7 Trillion a year and eliminate all income taxes, yet no one bit. Now the bailout number of 700 billion is out there and I am confused again. Here is the way I see it.

sales: Quotes for the week - 03/16/09 10:12 AM
Try not to become a man of success but a man of value.Albert Einstein
The man who makes a success of an important venture never wails for the crowd. He strikes out for himself. It takes nerve, it takes a great lot of grit; but the man that succeeds has both. Anyone can fail. The public admires the man who has enough confidence in himself to take a chance. These chances are the main things after all. The man who tries to succeed must expect to be criticized. Nothing important was ever done but the greater number consulted previously doubted the … (1 comments)

sales: Here comes the BULL! - 03/09/09 08:15 AM
Well folks the lowering of expectations has begun. Our newly elected Politico's are saying Economic recovery will take much longer than expected. What happened to all the rhetoric that was being sang during the election?
As stated in previous posts the mortgage problems began with the strong arming of both Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae back in 1992. When President Clinton and President Bush tried to tighten lending requirements Barney Frank and the gang wouldn't hear of it.
I also chronicled the rise in energy costs and its direct correlation to the foreclosures. When oil was at its highest price per … (1 comments)

sales: Have a great day with me, Please! - 02/20/09 09:21 AM
Good morning. Are you ready for great day? I know I am. Today I am going over my short term goals making sure they are tracking in the right direction toward my long term goals. Do you know what a goal really is? I have a simple definition I heard years ago. A goal is "A DREAM WITH A DEADLINE". Pretty good isn't it? I always thought so. I always start with the completed goal (dream) and work back to my present day. Then I set short term goals along the way to achieve the completed goal. To me it's like … (0 comments)

What are you doing today, right now; this second to ensure you will succeed the rest of your life? Ok you got me a little, I mean besides reading this. Are you helping with your son's or daughter's little league practice. Maybe you have a great book to read that will motivate you or even … (1 comments)

sales: Have A Super Day. - 02/02/09 02:00 AM
At "Now What" we know dealing with the public on a daily basis sets you up for some pretty severe negative situations and people. One thing I have stressed for years is a very simple and even a bit corny little saying. I simply tell myself I am
SUPER!
And Here Is what it mean
Strength equals confidence.
Under pressure I thrive.
Prepare don't panic.
Energy, bring it all day everyday.
Respect, earn it and demand it.

Pretty simple isn't it? Well, simple is easy to remember and put into practice. Keep your motivational keys short and simple. Complex things … (3 comments)

sales: A sad, but true story. - 01/26/09 12:04 PM
Recently I got a call from a very good friend from a past career. He informed me that the company that we had both been with was now gone. They were closing the doors. He and another old friend had wondered why it had gone down the exact way I said it would. Well before I go on, let me just say, I take no pride in being right on this occasion. I had a lot of friends affected by the closing of this business and I wish them well.
Ok, that being said, the closing of this business was … (5 comments)

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.Henry David Thoreau
All men dream but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes to make it possible.T.E. Lawrence

Miss Sally Edwards is a highly esteemed third grade teacher at JacksboroElementary, TX. In an effort to prepare her students for the all-importantTAKS test, she compiled an exam consisting of 20 questions, which sheadministered to her class last Tuesday.   The exam purposely covered a broad array of topics.  I call your attention to question 11, which simply read:LIST, IN ANY ORDER, THE FOUR SEASONS:

1. ________  2. ________ 3.________  4. ________Now, could you possibly imagine that 67% of the students gave the followinganswer?

Just up the road from my home is a field with two horses in it.  From a distance, each looks like every other horse.  But if you stop your car or are walking by, you will notice something quite amazing.
Looking into the eyes of one horse will disclose that he is blind.  His owner has chosen not to have him put down, but has made a good home for him.  This alone is amazing.  If nearby and listening, you will hear the sound of a bell.  Looking around for the source of the sound, you will see that it … (0 comments)

We have a fox terrier by the name of Jasper. He came to us in the summer of 2001 from the fox terrier rescue program. For those of you, who are unfamiliar with this type of adoption, imagine taking in a 10 year old child about whom you know nothing and committing to doing your best to be a good parent. Like a child, the dog came with his own idiosyncrasies. He will only sleep on the bed, on top of the … (3 comments)

Enough is Enough Already
Enough Already with all the spin and lies and general bull$%^&! The year of 2008 is dead and gone and I am always upbeat, but I am sick to death of what passes for right or legal in this world.· We have a President elect who won't show an original Birth Certificate. The worst part is there is NO outcry from the mainstream media for accountability.· We have a Governor of Hawaii that seals the Document citing privacy concerns. Does that make all of OUR Birth Certificates private now?· We have a Governor of Illinois that … (0 comments)
