tyler texas real estate: Who said it, Part 3 - 08/29/09 06:11 AM
It's time that America's government lived by the same values as America's families. It's time we invested in America's future and made sure our people have the skills to compete and thrive in a 21st century economy. That's what Democrats believe.

The American people do not like privatization. They are afraid of the debt the president's willing to do. And they don't like benefit cuts. And everyone here should understand all 45 Senate Democrats are united. We are not going to let this happen.

tyler texas real estate: Tell me who said it part 2 - 08/27/09 10:02 AM
Every month that we do not have an economic recovery package 500 million Americans lose their jobs.

I will not be making appointments to a committee that is not bipartisan.

Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process.

I have absolutely no regret about my vote against this war. The same questions remain. The cost in human lives, the cost to our budget, probably 100 billion. We could have probably brought down … (3 comments)

tyler texas real estate: Tell me who said it! - 08/27/09 09:29 AM
Can you tell me who said it? One man said them all!

A nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people.

Communism has never come to power in a country that was not disrupted by war or corruption, or both.

Conformity is the jailer of freedom and the enemy of growth.

Domestic policy can only defeat us; foreign policy can kill us.

I look forward to a great future for America - a future in which our country … (7 comments)

tyler texas real estate: What? No legal reform? - 08/27/09 08:52 AM
Thousands of pages in a health care bill and not a single sentence on tort reform. I guess they figure you can't sue "City Hall".
I bet Nancy and Harry sneak in a Gulf-stream or two in the final revised version.
Now they go after the CIA as a distraction. Smart move you guys. Most citizens in America don't care what it takes to get information that might save an American soldiers life.
Have you thought about going after farmers for growing crops?

tyler texas real estate: They have chosen a side! - 08/27/09 08:15 AM
After a couple of days visiting with good hard working Real Estate professionals, I have come to one inescapable conclusion.
This administration and it's mouth pieces on the hill are $%^&*&^ nuts!!.I have not meet a single person in favor of anything Hussein Obama and his party are pushing on the public. Not one.
I have meet several, who voted for Obama that would never and will never, vote for him again. Those who voted for him feel betrayed and lied too. Ya Think!
It took this administration and the socialist, elitist group on the hill just about 8 months to … (9 comments)

tyler texas real estate: So much for plan/lie "A" - 08/27/09 08:03 AM
Jan. 10 (Bloomberg) -- President-elect Barack Obama said his two-year plan to boost the U.S. economy will generate as many as 4 million jobs, higher than his previous estimates, the biggest portion of them in construction, manufacturing and retail.

WASHINGTON, July 14 (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama will say in Michigan, a state hard-hit by the downturn in the car industry, that some auto industry jobs that have been lost will not be returning.

And the best for last!

tyler texas real estate: Makes you wonder doesn't it? - 08/20/09 07:15 AM
Barbara Wagner of Springfield, Ore., was diagnosed with cancer of the lung in 2005. Chemotherapy and radiation put her cancer into remission. But the cancer returned in May 2008.
Oregon's health commissars nixed the plan. Her Tarceva treatment would cost $4,000 per month. Wagner was going to die anyway, so why waste the money?
Wagner received a letter stating that the Oregon Health Plan would not approve any treatment for her "that is meant to prolong life, or change the course of the disease ..." However, if Wagner opted for physician-assisted suicide, Oregon would be happy to pick up the tab, … (14 comments)

tyler texas real estate: Consistent in its support of the plan. - 08/18/09 05:48 AM
Who's on first, what's on second from Abbott and Costello come to mind.

The Obama administration on Tuesday insisted that "nothing has changed" about its support for a government-run health insurance plan, after liberal Democrats threatened to abandon a health care reform bill that doesn't include the so-called "public option."

Obama had earlier in the year described a public option as critical.

Sebelius said in an interview Sunday that the option is "not the essential element."
During a speech on Medicare Tuesday, Sebelius insisted the administration has been consistent in its support of the … (13 comments)

tyler texas real estate: Did you know that a new home purchase contributes over $50,000 to our economy? - 08/17/09 11:50 AM
Did you know that a new home purchase contributes over $50,000 to our economy? You have commissions, services, furniture and a whole host of other things.
It has been reported that the Cash for Clunkers program buyers, have much better credit than the normal car buying customer in the past. I know the administration is handling their end of the deal poorly, but the fact is, it worked to clear the shelves at car dealerships nationwide.
A new car purchase comes nowhere close to contributing the dollars that a home would.
So here is my new cash for homes program:

tyler texas real estate: You can't even lie worth a dang. - 08/17/09 08:56 AM
"Any bill without a public health insurance plan like Medicare is not health reform," said Rep. Barbara Lee, D-Calif., chairwoman of the Congressional Black Caucus. "Without a public option there will be no way to keep insurance companies honest and their rates down. A public health option that competes with private insurers will set standards that could help lower costs and improve access."

Well how do we keep you Socialist liberals honest with it?
Right now I trust the insurance companies more than I do politicians.
You can't even lie worth a dang. Your President says AARP backs the bill … (9 comments)

tyler texas real estate: Well, how are your Real Estate sales? - 08/17/09 03:05 AM
Well, how are your Real Estate sales? As school gets closer to starting, we are beginning to see some panic in Agents around the country that have struggled all summer without a plan. The agents who got their attitude right early and adapted have made money and will continue to make money.

If you had a plan, good for you, if not, there is still time. Sit down right now and right a simple one page plan of attack for the next 6 months.
Then put it where you have to see it everyday as a reminder of what needs … (1 comments)

tyler texas real estate: Well, I have the Golf bug again. - 08/16/09 07:59 AM
Well, I have the Golf bug again. I went out yesterday with my lovely wife Denise and played the Cascades which is the course we live on here in Tyler, Texas. To say I had fun, would be an understatement. I am not playing particularly well, but the fun is there and that is what matters. Since taking the Team Leader position at Keller Williams Tyler, Texas, I have begun to relax and enjoy the game I loved for years while my children were growing up. I have also found that golf is a great tool for recruiting  for the Market … (5 comments)

tyler texas real estate: Thanks John Mackey, I think your great! - 08/16/09 02:20 AM
I will now shop at Whole Food Market. John Mackey the CEO of Whole Food Market disagreed with the administration in a civil manor and is being attacked. If this is what happens when the opposition plays nice, then why play nice?
I have said all along the administration does not what an open and civil discussion; they want total agreement or destruction of the opposition.
Calls to boycott Whole Foods Market are growing louder and more sophisticated following a Wall Street Journal opinion article by the company's chief executive, John Mackey, in which he criticized President Obama's health care plan … (4 comments)

tyler texas real estate: Are we paying attention? - 08/15/09 05:45 AM
The largest U.S. bank failure ever came last year: Seattle-based thrift Washington Mutual Inc. fell in September, with about $307 billion in assets. It was acquired by JPMorgan Chase & Co. for $1.9 billion in a deal brokered by the FDIC.
If they were true assets then why did the FDIC sell them for less than 3/4 of 1% of the actual value. Is this a good use of our tax dollars?
I wonder if we offered less than 1% of the value for an FHA foreclosure if FHA would take it?
Lets say for example the home has a … (5 comments)

He calls American Citizens evil-mongers?
Harry Reid quotes and votes!
"America supports everything that we need to do with Katrina. I hope everyone understands this approximately $63 billion ... that's only a down payment. There's going to be lots more money."
"I have too many unanswered questions about the nominee to justify a vote confirming him to this enormously important lifetime position."

Moving America forward will still require the cooperation of my Senate … (8 comments)

tyler texas real estate: Tote the Note? - 08/13/09 11:43 AM
Oh yeah, we want these idiots running our health care system!
It is now being reported, that Automobile dealers are not getting paid in the cash for clunkers program. The bureaucratic red tape and EXCUSES  are flowing like wine at a wedding in Italy.
Dealers across the country are reporting that reimbursement issues continue to stall the wildly popular incentives program. They have submitted requests for rebates on 338,659 vehicles sold, at a cost of about $1.4 billion to the government, according to sales data summarized by Transportation Department officials.
David Wilson, a Toyota dealer in Orange County, Calif., told Automotive … (3 comments)
