When I first got into real estate, I would follow people around my Open Houses. I'd ask them questions, especially the one they really love to hear, "Are you working with a Realtor?" (That always makes them comfortable). It took me awhile, but I finally realized something -- people don't like to be followed around and people don't like to be bugged and people don't like to be harrassed by a Realtor. Well here we are, it's almost Halloween and it's amazing how time flies! We have seen so much happen in the last 4 years...the housing BUBBLE DEFLATION (the "bubble" is looking more like a deflated jumper on the lawn of a 7 year old birthday party). This week, I received an email from an invidividual who simply asked, "Nic, I'm thinking of selling my home, what is your lowest you can go in commission?" The following was my reply to that email: Let's say your home is worth $750,000 (for discussion sake). The difference for 1% at that price would be $7,500.
