BIG TRIP TO ALASKA WITH FAMILY!!! Yes, we finally decided to do the "once in a lifetime" cruise to Alaska! Although we have a cousin who has done it three times and just last year with her grandchildren. Oh! IT IS WITH MIXED EMOTIONS THAT I LEAVE MY OFFICE WHERE I HAVE ENJOYED CONDUCTING MY BUSINSS AND WORKING WITH THE AGENTS WHO HAVE BECOME MY FRIENDS. WHY IS CHANGE SO HARD?? The move is due to a pending merger of my present company with a franchise company. I held on for the past few weeks waiting for this merger to happen. Most days I am on the go from the minute I get up until the minute I go to bed. There's always just one more thing to check, one more email to send, one more phone message, one more note to make for the morning. Whatever I didn't finish today, get's piled on the next day. My coach has been after me to schedule shorter days. Instead of scheduling 8 hours of appointments and work (which always turns in to 10-12 hours!), he said I should start scheduling 6 hours a day thus allowing time for myself. Easier said than done. WOW!! EVERYTIME I GET OUT OF THE CAR TO SHOW PROPERTY I THINK OF THE REST OF THE COUNTRY!! WOW!! HOW LUCKY AM I TO BE IN 78 AND SUNNY SOUTH FLORIDA!! Many agents are now getting together on Open Houses and holding a PARADE OF HOMES! I have participated in several of these events. They can be done seasonally or monthly or even on a one time basis for a particular neighborhood. I've done the SPRINGTIME EXTRAVAGANZA, the SUMMER SIZZLER, etc. Since I am in South Florida with so many "community HOAs and condos" that do not allow signs, usually the community association will go along with a one day event to promote the community in a positive way.
