foreclosure: Resources for Homeowners Facing Foreclosure - 02/11/08 11:54 AM
At myClosingSPACE.com we have heard plenty of foreclosure nightmares from some of the consumers we are working with. Many have simply given up and others have been taken advantage of by unscrupulous companies looking to profit off people in trouble. There are plenty of options available to help homeowners avoid foreclosure and we felt compelled to help.
Besides just providing advice and assistance to our direct customers we believe there is a need to help any consumers who may be facing foreclosure. That is why we developed the Foreclosure Resource Center. We do not provide direct services but instead we offer a … (1 comments)

foreclosure: Hope Now for Homeowners in Trouble - 11/30/07 04:02 AM
A colleague of mine brought a recent article in the Wall Street Journal to my attention about a new association called Hope Now. It is comprised of a number of major lenders, banks, credit counselors, and other organizations. They want to try and ease the sub-prime fallout by providing help, information, and resources to homeowners who may be facing foreclosure. They are also working with the US Treasury Department to temporarily freeze sub-prime mortgages to try and stem the tide of foreclosures.
Here is the new site for the group. I also wrote a post on the myClosingSPACE blog about this.

foreclosure: Foreclosure is Not The Only Option - 11/14/07 05:34 AM
Our CEO recently presented at a foreclosure seminar with the NJ Department of Banking and Insurance. The premise of the seminar was to show NJ citizens that there are alternatives for foreclosure and a number of organizations willing to help. We are in the process of building a Foreclosure Resource section on the myClosingSPACE.com site to provide visitors with the information and resources available to them so they can avoid losing their home.
Foreclosure is not the only option to those who are falling behind in their mortgage payments. There are plenty of excellent organizations who are willing to help. At the … (2 comments)

foreclosure: Foreclosures Up Again in August - 09/18/07 01:07 AM
CNN.com is reporting that foreclosures for August were up 36% over July's totals. It is also stating that defaults and deliquencies have doubled over the previous year to 243,947. This information is coming from RealtyTrac. While the midwest was still hit pretty hard some of the largest increases were in Florida. The article also discusses that this increase in foreclosures may not have peaked yet with many hybrid loans about to reset in October.
Will this lead to a bigger downturn and home prices? If so would it be enough to turn the market around? I understand that huge numbers of foreclosures … (1 comments)

foreclosure: 6-Inches of Animal Feces:Yuck - 08/17/07 01:37 AM
So what can the recent buyer do? This has been all over the news here in NJ the last week or so. Basically they found a home that was recently sold in foreclosure that was home to over 100 dogs and cats living (and some dead) in filth and disease. Some of the rooms had 6-inches of feces on the floor. I can't even imagine the smell. The house has been condemned and I suppose the new owner is none to happy with the discovery. Not to mention the plight of the poor innocent animals that were left to fend for … (0 comments)

foreclosure: Zillow + Foreclosures = ForeclosureRadar.com - 08/14/07 03:19 AM
I have heard it said many times that there is an opportunity to make money when markets go south. Someone will find a way to capitalize on poor market conditions and the fact is no markets are exempt. There are many ways to make a lot of money in a slow real estate market. While others may be taking a bath there are a few who see the market conditions and figure out a way to use to their advantage. As I was reading Transparent Real Estate today I found a post about a company that is doing just that.
Foreclosureradar.com is … (4 comments)
