It is that time of year that listing agents are seeing more homes for sale on the market than that past few months. It is a slow increase across all price points including luxury real estate markets. Realtors were hoping to see a large uptick in inntory or pre existing home sales. Although even the best real estate agents will tell you any increase in homes on the market will help with bringing more buyers back to the game, agents in the area will take whatever they can get. I always see a glassed over look in the eyes of buyers when I talk to them about title insurance. Most Realtors just basically tell their clients “it’s something you are required to get” and don’t really explain it to their buyers or sellers for that matter. Title insurance is one of those things you really don’t even think about until you go to buy your home. In Colorado, our approved contracts have a section all about title insurance, who picks it and who pays for it. It’s one of those things most people just accept as part of the deal.
