What’s the Real Estate Buzz in Owatonna? We are seeing an increase in real estate activity in our area. Things are definitely looking up in 2012. Is this darn housing recession over? Well, it may be a bit premature to declare its demise, we can certainly celebrate the fact that sales numbers and volume are up nicely so far for the year.

What's the Real Estate Buzz in Owatonna? The start to 2010 has been a bit sluggish so far - mostly due to frigid temperatures that we experienced during the Holidays and the first two weeks of the New Year. We finally have temps that are above zero, and even getting close to above freezing. Wow! We expect to see listings increasing during the next couple of months as sellers try to take advantage of the tax credit induced buyer activity. What's the buzz so far this year? We're seeing a strong surge of first time real estate buyers and investors. Both of those markets have been active and there seems to be a good supply of homes that appeal to both. We've noticed their influence in the average price of the homes that are pending and sold so far this year. The 34 homes sold in 2009 year to date within an average of 107 days at an average of 94% of the list price and an average of 88.8% of the original list price.
