choosing a wireless card for laptop: When choosing an iPad....WIFI or 3G? USB Card or wireless modem?

When deciding which iPad to get, the obvious priority is connectivity to the internet. 3G connectivity (one has to pay a monthly fee for that connectivity that is dedicated to that iPAD only). Even Computerworld asked "Is the extra $130 worth it?" WIFI (one has to connect to an available WIFI network). but if you can't get the password to join an available network, you're SOL (shit out of luck). Unless you bring your own Wifi wherever you go. I resisted for a long time, and have managed to work offsite without needing wireless connection. After all, my iphone enables me to get my emails, surf the net, etc. But I'm ready to take the plunge (some may ask "What kept you?"). Yeah....I'm succumbing to glitz and pizzazz of the ads touting the Sprint and the AT&T cards. Naturally, the factors that will carry the most weight are the three C's: coverage cost (7 comments)
