trulia: Bottom Line Publications: Common Errors on Real Estate Web Sites - 03/27/13 05:19 AM

Much as I love the presence of websites like Trulia and Zillow where I can enhance my listings, answer questions, even blog.....from time to time, I get inquiries from people who "found the listing on the internet".
Oftentimes, the listing is either sold/expired, or it's not even listed (as in the case of RealtyTrac posts).
I love the opportunity to enlighten the folks who inquire, but I also hate disappointing them if the property they are really interested in is not available.
And then there are those who seem surprised, and even upset, that the listing is not mine. So … (1 comments)

trulia: NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION: improve and expand real estate advertising (including on free sites) - 01/01/10 11:28 AM
It's an ongoing effort to improve the perception of our profession. We accomplish this by adhering to and performing according to the highest ethical standards and to Truth in Advertising.

He walks the streets and drops off fliers and puts door hangers. He listens to his very astute associate from the title company who taught him how to send letters to chosen target audiences to tell them about buyers who are looking for specific properties. So he sends "urgent need" letters. He mails "Just Listed" and "Just Sold" flyers. He just learned how to showcase his listings on … (15 comments)
