I was at a class last week on Short Sales. The instructor asked the question "Who is responsible for the current situation where so many homeowners find themselves in danger of foreclosure?" The ideas started to fly around the room. It was the stock market, the government encouraging home ownership for all, the banks, the mortgage brokers, unemployment, etc. etc. Well, I raised my hand to add that although it might not be popular in a room full of Realtors, we as a group had to accept some of the blame. I am changing my "title" to better reflect what I do. I have been busily building my own practice as a Buyer's Agent by word of mouth, Internet presence, and in print for about a year after deciding to focus on this corner of the real estate world. I have been spreading the word about Buyer Agency and how much help having a Real Estate Professional on your Home Buying Team is.
