What fun last night was. The annual "Dinner and a Show" was a major success. This event held as a final dress rehearsal for the Pine Bush High School musical production made hundreds of area senior citizens happy. The seniors, some of them arriving on buses donated by the local school bus company, were treated to a great meal donated by many local businesses. They had fun buying raffle tickets that gave them a chance to win one of 41 donated prizes ranging from gift cards for food and services to a lovely framed print of a historic postcard of the … (4 comments)

Pine Bush School District area young people ages 8 through 13 are invited to take part in a great new Drama Program being offered by the Boys and Girls Clubs of Pine Bush and Town of Wallkill. The TNT Drama Matters Afterschool Drama program, a joint initiative from TNT and Boys & Girls Club of America that seeks to bring the many benefits of drama to the Pine Bush School District area.

Wow, the coolest thing just happened. I got a call on both my home phone and my cell phone from the Pine Bush Central School District . Now normally you might be concerned when a school calls you. Is your child sick? Is your child in trouble? But this call was sent to let me know that all after school activities were canceled due to the expected icy conditions later this afternoon and evening. We had a special Saturday night in Pine Bush this past weekend. It was the annual Festival of Lights with a whole bunch of great entertainment that started at 4:30 and ended with the tree lighting at 7:30 or so. (The moment of the lighting was a bit flawed by a technical glitch but the celebration continued and the tree was eventually glowing) The studio that my daughters dance with, The Dance Diamond, were featured as performers in the 6:00 PM time slot.
