Gas prices in Charlottesville, Virginia have been on a roller coaster ride. Like many other parts of the country, people paniced when they heard Hurricane Ike was about to hit the Golf. On Friday we saw gridlock atCharlottesville area gas stations. The rumor circulated that gas would be $5.00 a gallon by Saturday. Some station's parking lots were jammed with so many cars going in different directions that it was impossible to move.
