Earlier this week I did a ‘GOOGLE’ search on a religious topic that interested me...
It’s not important to this post that I get into detail except to say it took me until page 33 of my ‘GOOGLE’ search to find a source that I felt confident in that could be trusted...
NOW...I don’t know much about ‘GOOGLE’ algorithms, other than they exist, but I know enough about MY FAITH, thanks be to God, to trust MY FAITH and God’s Spirit to lead me away from evil and guide me to TRUTH (JESUS IS THE TRUTH, He said so Himself)...SO...

Have you noticed how polarized our nation has become...!!!
We have lived under the two party system for generations now...yet never before have politicians been so divided...some refuse to even discuss their differences...SO...
Essentially there is very little actual discourse where two people truly LISTEN TO ONE ANOTHER...AND...As my title suggests: ASK QUESTIONS OF ONE ANOTHER...!!!
NO...people's minds seem to be made up even before the discussion begins...!!!

EVERYONE WANTS TO FEEL LOVED...DON’T THEY...??? I certainly would include myself in the group that WANTS TO FEEL LOVED...BUT...
THERE IS A BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FEELINGS and LOVE...Let’s start here...
FEELINGS ARE REAL...If I say, ‘I feel like crap’, you can be sure I’m not in great spirits...on the other hand...REAL LOVE IS NOT A FEELING...ST. PETER found this out when he was reprimanded by Jesus and told, “Get behind me, Satan”...when Peter reacted on FEELINGS INSTEAD OF TRUTH...!!!

This is one of the things I like most about our God: He has put clues to find HIM so obviously that many reject them as ABSURD...!!!

Oddly enough, there surely must have been millions who have read these passages over the centuries and have considered them apt for their exact day and age...

It becomes apparent to me, the more I reflect on it, that it is difficult today to find THE TRUTH...
There are too many distractions that tend to obscure TRUTH...
Beginning with TV, movies, sports, and video games, through email, internet surfing, addictions (drug, porno, alcohol, food), and laziness, and ending with hypochondria, excess focus on personal appearance (narcissism), excessive hand washing, blogging?, fitness fanaticking, and other phobias...
All of which may contain some element of truth, yet nevertheless, can distract us from finding THE TRUTH, THE WHOLE TRUTH, and NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH...!!!

This week I spent a lot of time listening to the 'talking heads' on the TV news shows...!
By the way, we don't have news shows anymore...those shows where journalism, not sensationalism or political talking points, drive the content...no, we have well choreographed agenda-driven opinionated 'Hollywood style' ratings-driven entertainment shows...
You see, if the 'talking heads' aren't entertaining enough, they won't be asked back again...so they are impelled to remain controversial and interesting...
