I'd never thought of taking photos of the changing season until fellow blogger George Souto introduced me to the gorgeous fall colors of New England. Last year was the first year I took photos of the changing season, and I wanted to share this years changing colors, too.
Most of my readers will recognize the view as Castlewoods Golf Course, or specifically, the view from my back yard. Probably the most unusual photo I ever captured was of the ball drop in September. The following photos taken at Castlewoods Country Club depict the change in scenery during autumn weather. The first photo was taken late afternoon on October 28. Leaves are just beginning to turn and the golf course is still green. The next photo was taken two weeks later. The leaves continue to turn, the grass is still green, and the lake is a gorgeous shade of blue. The following photo was taken in late November. Castlewoods Country Club recently held their Grand Re-Opening Celebration which was well attended by area residents and avid golfers. The club was purchased by a group of investors in April 2016 and many improvements have been implemented over the last several months.
The public was invited to tour the grounds on Saturday, August 27th and enjoy the renovated clubhouse and outdoor activities. Approximately 300-400 people were in attendance. There were games for the kids and music on the deck. Beer, hamburgers and hotdogs were available.

Castlewoods Country Club is located off Highway 25 in northwest Rankin County. This locally owned club features an 18-hole golf course, "The Bear", designed by the Jack Nicklaus' Group.
Drive down Castlewoods Blvd., and you'll see the clubhouse, lake, and the 8,500 square foot deck. The clubhouse has a pro shop, a snack bar and grill, and provides members a place to relax after a round of golf or a long day.
The club can host weddings, receptions, or meetings.
