marketing ideas: Happy St Patrick's Day - March Greetings - 03/12/19 10:11 PM
The Spring real estate market is heating up across Central MS and we've noticed a marked increase in sales activity. To celebrate St. Patrick's Day, our marketing team created this fun postcard.
The card read: Sellers shouldn't rely on the "Luck of the Irish" to sell their home. Instead, they should call an experienced Realtor. My knowledge and experience will be their "Lucky Charm". Call me today if you or someone you know is looking to upgrade their space.
Our postcards keep us front of mind with past clients and remind friends and family to recommend us when they have the chance. It's just one of the … (13 comments)

marketing ideas: Love Where You Live - February Postcard - 02/13/19 02:52 PM
Do You Love Where You Live?
My February postcard with its Valentines Day theme is one of my favorite marketing pieces. The flip side contains a message about allowing me to play matchmaker to help you obtain the home of your dreams.
I've always considered myself a real estate matchmaker. I pay attention to what my client tells me they want, then put my years of experience to work to find it.
These postcards were distributed to hundreds of Brandon, MS residents in time for Valentines Day.
If buying a new home is one of your goals this year, share your dreams with me. We'll create a plan so you will soon love where you … (39 comments)

marketing ideas: Real Estate Marketing for the 4th Quarter - 09/19/18 09:31 AM
Many people think Realtors only show houses. (Make that "look at pretty houses all day".) That's a small part of our job description. We wear many hats, one of which is deciding how to market ourselves, our listings, and how to make the phone ring.
I'm fortunate to associate with a great company in the metro Jackson area, Front Gate Realty. We collaborate on marketing ideas that agents can choose to participate in or not. The office staff personalizes cards for each agent, we order the quantity we want and add postage and address labels. That helps a busy agent a lot! I can supplement or … (18 comments)

marketing ideas: Jalapeno Popper Dip and Football ~ A Perfect Pair - 09/12/18 04:22 PM
The game of life is a lot like football. You have to tackle your problems, block your fears, and score your points when you get the opportunity. ~ Lewis Grizzard
Let's face it. Football is HUGE. And what goes better with football than tasty appetizers? My September postcard has a football theme along with an easy to prepare jalapeno and cheese dip recipe that is sure to please.
(Scroll to the bottom for the recipe)
Bon Appetit!
Jalapeno Popper Dip
2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
1 cup mayo
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

marketing ideas: How to Score a Home Run With Your Marketing - 04/18/18 08:37 AM
When you think of baseball, what memories come to mind? For me, it's summers spent at the ball park, both playing softball and watching my brothers play while Dad coached. I have wonderful memories of playing in dirt piles, climbing fences, keeping the scoreboard (manual back in the day), and consuming lots of popcorn, peanuts, and cotton candy.
My marketing promotion for the summer revolves around baseball. Packets of sunflower seeds with the tagline "Your referrals are a home run in my business!" These can be handed out at the ball field, passed out to clients, even displayed at open houses. I think … (15 comments)

marketing ideas: Winners and Losers in the Marketing Arena - 02/28/18 04:22 PM
We all want to be successful and I pride myself as someone who can think outside the box. I've tried almost every marketing idea imaginable and some of my ideas work well. The difference is, if I try something, it may or may not be a success. If someone tries to SELL ME A SHINY NEW OBJECT, maybe I should pass, because I've sure picked a bunch of losers.
YODLE - Fall 2016 - Worst Marketing Decision EVER
I signed up after listening to their spiel, which was very good. Who wouldn't want to increase their internet presence and be found by the search engines, yada … (16 comments)

marketing ideas: How Do You Say Thank You to Your Clients? - 11/29/17 09:45 AM
How do you show your clients you appreciate them?
I'm sure everyone has their own idea of the "perfect" closing gift, and even whether or not a closing gift should be given. After all, if we've done our jobs well and found the "perfect" house for a buyer, or sold the sellers home in the desired time frame and provided exemplary service, is anything beyond a sincere and heartfelt "thank you" necessary?
There are a few gifts I like to present to my buyers at closings. I've ordered custom cookies shaped in the form of houses and decorated with Home Sweet Home. I've ordered … (15 comments)

marketing ideas: You Can Be Home By Christmas - 11/07/17 08:57 AM
If you act within the next few weeks, there is time to be in a new home for the holidays.
While it's true that real estate sales typically slow down in the fall months, people still move during these months and there are fewer buyers (less competition) for homes on the market. You can take advantage of historically low interest rates and be IN YOUR NEW HOME by Christmas.
If you thought home ownership was out of reach, or you plan to wait until spring, let's have a conversation about why NOW might be a better time to make your move.
Let me help you be home … (8 comments)

marketing ideas: Marketing Pieces for Halloween - 10/30/17 02:54 PM
When ActiveRain hosted the photography contest earlier in the year, I discovered a few cool photo-editing tools and have enjoying using them periodically to spice up my marketing campaign.
I learned how to erase unwanted items from a photo as well as how to sharpen the images, straighten crooked photos, etc.
But perhaps the feature I'm most excited about is adding text to my photos and turning them into  marketing pieces.
The first text editing feature I discovered was how to add a watermark. The app is called Add Watermark Free. The contest introduced me to several other useful apps that I continue to … (10 comments)

marketing ideas: A 10-Minute Self Promotion Tip - 09/22/16 01:57 PM
Here's an easy self-promotion tip you might want to implement in your area. My newest listing is in an older development that requires a certain type mailbox with the post painted a specific shade of green. I keep a gallon of paint on hand, and whenever I list a home in this neighborhood, the post gets a fresh coat of paint. It's a 10 minute investment that yields maximum benefits. (And yes, I can paint the post in 10 minutes!)
Some Realtors may think it isn't our "place" to do this. I've seen arguments  discussions for either side saying we shouldn't water the grass, gather the mail or perform other menial … (36 comments)

marketing ideas: Introducing Breakthrough Broker - 01/25/16 11:57 AM
I was scouring the internet looking for inspiration for a marketing piece when I discovered a website that offers FREE email marketing, templates, flyers, etc.
To gain access to the Breakthrough Broker website required registration. Before giving out my precious contact info, I decided to do some research and came across this YouTube video featuring our very own Brad Andersohn with RETech Campus and Breakthrough Broker Co-Founder Eric Sachs.
After watching the promotional video, I was willing to register. Within five minutes, I customized a letter to send to my database and received the document via email. All I have to do is print, attach my mailing labels, and go to the post office.
Did I … (14 comments)
