idaho: In the past 12 months 45 condo’s have sold in Coeur d’Alene
- 11/12/12 05:53 AM
In the past 12 months 45 condo’s have sold in Coeur d’Alene between $200,000 and $1,400,000. Currently in the same price range we have 34 condo’s actively for sale. The good news is not one of the 34 condo’s for sale is a short sale or a foreclosure. If you think that you are in the market for a condo now would be a fabulous time to buy as interest rates are still at all time lows. I am starting to see a slight trend in prices moving up. Will advise on the price movement after watching the market for a (0 comments)
idaho: Do not forget to go out and vote tomorrow.
- 11/05/12 02:58 AM
Well I know everyone is saying this but I just had to jump on the bandwagon too. Do not forget to go out and vote tomorrow. This is such a privilege and one of our freedoms that we seem to take for granted. I find it helpful to at least read through the voter brochures before going to vote as many of the propositions can be confusing. Out here in the Pacific Northwest our weather looks to be very good tomorrow so go enjoy some beautiful fall weather here in Post Falls, Idaho and vote! Patsy Barten provides a level (0 comments)

idaho: Do you have a child or grandchild that has difficulty learning?
- 10/01/12 03:24 AM
Do you have a child or grandchild that has difficulty learning? Many children have difficulties with reading, writing, spelling, math, attention, and memory. All children want to be successful in school yet they struggle despite parent-teacher interventions or private tutoring. Thanks to current research in the fields of neuropsychology, major steps forward have been made in understanding potential causes of several learning disabilities. As a parent/grandmother it is so hard to watch as a child struggles to learn and you try to do the right thing and help, but sometimes that is not enough.

- 09/25/12 03:39 AM
18 Condos have sold in Coeur d’AleneIdaho in the last 60 days! WOW! Prices ranged from $1,200,200 down to $93,000. The condo market in Coeur d’Alene has something for everyone. Seven of the condos were cash deals while ten were conventional loans. Not one went with FHA financing. This will change now that FHA has relaxed Condominium rules as of September 13, 2012. If you are considering buying a condo check with your lender to see if the newer friendlier rules for condo financing will apply for your condo. Of the 18 condos that sold recently, 15 condos were built (0 comments)

idaho: Recently I wrote a contract on a Short Sale.
- 07/26/12 03:36 AM
Recently I wrote a contract on a Short Sale. Questions were asked why an owner would do a Short sale. Well this is the answers that I gave to them. People often find in today’s economy that they cannot keep up with mortgage payments for a variety of reasons. Their home in today’s market may be worth a lower amount then their mortgage amount so they still need to get out from under their home mortgage. The bank agrees to take less for the home then is owed on it creating a Short Sale. So why a Short Sale vs Foreclosure, (0 comments)

1. It will make you smarter. 2. It will make you more purposeful. 3. It will make you more creative. Are you intrigued by these three statements? Are you learning based? Or are you ignorance based? There are two broad options here for us to consider. Ignorance based is described by this statement “I know what I know and I’ll ignore anything else.” Learning based will have ”the mindset of a lifelong learner.” The simple answer to being a lifelong learner is “Carry a Notebook.” It invites you to take notes, to capture your (3 comments)
idaho: Kootenai Urgent Care facility in Post Falls, Idaho at 1300 Mullan Ave.

Thursday July 19th you have an opportunity to tour and go behind the scenes to see just what goes on at Kootenai Urgent Care facility in Post Falls, Idaho at 1300 Mullan Ave. Most of us don’t think about Urgent Care facilities until we are in desperate need of some kind of medical care and then we just try to find a facility that is open or run to the emergency room at the local hospital. Urgent care facilities are usually much quicker in their treatment with less forms then the emergency room. Please understand that I am not saying you (0 comments)
idaho: Hot weather here on the prairie in Post Falls, Idaho
- 07/16/12 05:56 AM
Well the extremely hot weather here on the prairie in Post Falls, Idaho has broken and now we are back to seasonal normals . The only thing that really seems to like the extreme heat was the corn in the garden and it looks to have caught up to where it should be by now so I guess there is a silver lining in the clouds. Summer is here and it feels good to sit on the patio in the evening watching the birds and the sunset. Lately I have been able to see a few baby quail running around (0 comments)
idaho: KTEC our new technical being out in Rathdrum
- 07/13/12 03:40 AM
What a marvelous experience I had yesterday. I had a private tour of KTEC, our new technical school being built out in Rathdrum. Mark Cotner was very gracious and showed us all the new buildings and talked about their purpose and how the students would be using the space as they are being taught skills that will enable them to support themselves and build careers.
KTEC has had so many applicants that a second shift has been added and they still are having to put students on a waiting list in most areas.

idaho: The Beauty of Friendships
- 07/11/12 03:25 AM
Well once again I am reminded of the beauty of friendships. We were honored to have friends of many years ago stop last night for an overnight visit and what fun we had sharing about family, friends and of course how the families have changed with additions of grand children and just life in general. It can never be said to often but take time to enjoy and stay in touch as friends enrich our lives in so many ways. Stories to be remembered and shared with younger family members are always so much fun. So from the prairie here (0 comments)

idaho: Regarding Beck Rd Interchange in Post Falls Idaho
- 07/03/12 02:49 AM
Regarding Beck Rd Interchange in Post Falls Idaho, things seem to be moving off to a slow start. Everyone says that the project will be completed by Thanksgiving 2012. I was hoping to have some good pictures to share by now, however all I can see at this time is dirt piles and they do not make for interesting pictures. This will be an important interchange for the businesses out by Cabela’s and Walmart as consumers going to these businesses have to go down the Interstate a ways to the Pleasentville exit and double back to get to them.
