post falls: Good news for home seller is Post Falls Idaho. - 01/18/13 02:49 AM
Good news for home seller is Post Falls, Idaho.

The good news is that single family home sales in Post Falls in the last 12 months are up 10% over the previous 12 months.  The average sales price is up 6% over the previous time frame.  Coeur d’Alene and Hayden are about the same.  Our rural areas in the county have yet to show this positive result.
The interesting fact in the data is that Foreclosures “REO’S” have dropped overall in our area 13% in the last 12 months.
Now that is being offset by the increase in short sales.  … (0 comments)

post falls: The new Beck Road Interchange from I90 is now open. - 11/27/12 01:51 AM
Well I had a very pleasant experience yesterday as I drove from Coeur d’Alene to Cabelas in Post Falls.  The new Beck Road Interchange from I90 is now open.  It was so slick to just exit the freeway and drive into the parking lot over at Cabelas.

I am looking forward to seeing some new businesses open in the area near Cabelas and Walmart.  There have been many rumors but as of yet I have not heard for sure what building we will see come spring.  If you are out and about be sure to check out this new Interchange at … (0 comments)

post falls: In the past 12 months 45 condo’s have sold in Coeur d’Alene - 11/12/12 05:53 AM
In the past 12 months 45 condo’s have sold in Coeur d’Alene between $200,000 and $1,400,000.  Currently in the same price range we have 34 condo’s actively for sale.  The good news is not one of the 34 condo’s for sale is a short sale or a foreclosure.  If you think that you are in the market for a condo now would be a fabulous time to buy as interest rates are still at all time lows.  I am starting to see a slight trend in prices moving up.  Will advise on the price movement after watching the market for a … (0 comments)

post falls: The Pacific Northwest may finally getting back to normal temperatures - 11/08/12 02:02 AM
The Pacific Northwest may finally getting back to normal temperatures and fall weather.  Just a couple of days ago the temperature was in the 60’s with beautiful skies and did not seem like November weather at all.  But now the forecast says that by Friday morning we may have several inches of snow and the temperature is really dropping.  The high for Friday is in the low 30’s.  What a difference a couple of days make.  But everyone is getting excited to ski and around here the hope is that the ski areas will be open for the day after Thanksgiving … (0 comments)

post falls: Northwest Sacred Music Chorale’s 2012 Fall Concert Nov 17th & 18th - 11/07/12 01:41 AM
The Northwest Sacred Music Chorale’s 2012 Fall Concert November 17th, 7:00 PM and November 18th, 3:00 PM will feature the Chorale performing the major work "Requiem" by French composer Gabriel Faure’. This special presentation will include powerful baritone solos, featuring guest baritone Randel Wagner, a pure soprano solo featuring Madison Mataban, and a chamber orchestra (consisting of two violins, two violas, two cellos and a double bass).
Faure's Requiem is unique. The anguish, loss and horrors of Death and Judgment Day are left by the wayside. Faure’ concentrates on the true meaning of the word "Requiem", or "rest". His Requiem is … (0 comments)

post falls: Do not forget to go out and vote tomorrow. - 11/05/12 02:58 AM
Well I know everyone is saying this but I just had to jump on the bandwagon too.  Do not forget to go out and vote tomorrow.  This is such a privilege and one of our freedoms that we seem to take for granted.  I find it helpful to at least read through the voter brochures before going to vote as many of the propositions can be confusing.
Out here in the Pacific Northwest our weather looks to be very good tomorrow so go enjoy some beautiful fall weather here in Post Falls, Idaho and vote!

Beck Road Interchange in Post Falls, Idaho is looking good.  As you drive by on I-90 you may have been delayed by the closure of one lane traffic both east & west bound but now, for the most part, all lanes are open.  The on and off ramps off I-90 to Beck Road (where the complex for Cabela’s and Walmart are located) are due to open by the end of November.  Shoppers are eagerly waiting for the road to open so they can have easier access to shopping.

Two of the ramps have been paved as shown on the picture on … (0 comments)

post falls: Do you have a child or grandchild that has difficulty learning? - 10/01/12 03:24 AM
Do you have a child or grandchild that has difficulty learning?  Many children have difficulties with reading, writing, spelling, math, attention, and memory.  All children want to be successful in school yet they struggle despite parent-teacher interventions or private tutoring.  Thanks to current research in the fields of neuropsychology, major steps forward have been made in understanding potential causes of several learning disabilities.  As a parent/grandmother it is so hard to watch as a child struggles to learn and you try to do the right thing and help, but sometimes that is not enough.

post falls: The Beck Rd Interchange project on schedule for opening Black Friday. - 09/28/12 02:06 AM
Progress in Post FallsIdaho!  The Beck Rd Interchange project is on schedule for opening Black Friday.  Cabela’s and Walmart are excited as it is expected that other business will soon be opening at “The Ponte” the complex where Cabela’s is located.

As you drive on I90 by stateline  it is very easy to see the work as it progresses.  The bridge girders are erected over the freeway and there is much movement of dirt for the ramps.  This project when finished is estimated  to take 5 to 10 minutes off drive time when going to Cablea’s or Walmart.  The entire … (0 comments)

post falls: North Idaho is the place to be! - 09/26/12 04:25 AM
North Idaho is the place to be.  We are having the most gorgeous fall here with the daytime temps in the upper 70’s and lower 80’s and the leaves are starting to turn color.  There is no better time then now for those hikes or bike rides.  The gardens are just about done for the season, corn was marvelous this year as were the green beans, carrots will harvested this weekend and what a crop.  We have picked the apples and just last evening I made an apple crisp with our apples and it was so tasty.
North Idaho has … (1 comments)

post falls: 18 Condos have sold in Coeur d’Alene Idaho in the last 60 days! - 09/25/12 03:39 AM
18 Condos have sold in Coeur d’AleneIdaho in the last 60 days!  WOW!  Prices ranged from $1,200,200 down to $93,000.  The condo market in Coeur d’Alene has something for everyone.  Seven of the condos were cash deals while ten were conventional loans.  Not one went with FHA financing.  This will change now that FHA has relaxed Condominium rules as of September 13, 2012.  If you are considering buying a condo check with your lender to see if the newer friendlier rules for condo financing will apply for your condo.
Of the 18 condos that sold recently, 15 condos were built … (0 comments)
