Salida Colorado 3rd Quarter Market Report Series: San Luis Valley Our sister valley to the southwest, San Luis Valley is a completely different market area. It is not in the Arkansas river valley so does not have "resort-priced" homes. It's largest town is Saguache, a lovely small town with 494 inhabitants. The rest is rural with ranches and some mountain cabins. The market is still on it's way down in the San Luis Valley. Prices are about 40% down this year compared to last.
