I MET TOM FERRY TODAY!
Many of you may not have heard about Tom Ferry! I first learned of him here on Active Rain when I read a post of his about MY LIFE! BY DESIGN & MY DEFINING MOMENT!. He challenged us to write a post to discuss a defining moment that we have experienced.
Within a few hours of my posting, my phone rang and it was Tom Ferry himself on the other end. I was shocked! He said, "Hey I just read your post and wanted to give you a call to encourage you!" It was the neatest thing.

SORRY BUT I DON'T EAT SPAM!
Today as I was reading my daily blogs, I am seeing more and more SPAMMER comments! These are super distracting and unnecessary! Do these people really believe that we will all visit their sites for discounted Ralph Lauren or other goods the claim to have the best prices on?
I know that the powers that be with Active Rain are working hard to keep these guys at bay. You can go into your settings and not allow non member comments. I have done this but still get SPAMMER comments. It is important to report each and … (21 comments)

1,000 BLOG POSTS ~ 1,000 REASONS TO BLOG!
With this post, I officially hit my 1,00th blog post! I can hardly believe it? What on earth have I posted about 1,000 times? How did I have time to do this? How can I keep the pace up?
Those of you who are active bloggers understand the commitment and dedication it takes to post regularly. Finding new and fresh content takes some creativity and diligence. However, the rewards are wonderful!

I've Missed the RAIN!
Although it has been raining here finally in The Woodlands, Texas, I have been missing the Active Rain! My time has been incredibly stretched due to work, family, etc. I have just had to let some things take a back seat and unfortunately that has been my blogging.
This however does not mean that I love you any less my blogger friends! I LOVE the Rain and miss you all so much. Active Rain has been a huge connection for me so when I am not active - I feel blue for sure!

I cannot believe that it has been two full years since I began blogging here in the Rain! The time has flown by and what I have gained through my blogging efforts h

Ok, this is one of those nights that all Active Rain addicts can appreciate. I had a tremendously busy week and weekend and could not get all of my posts in. Now here I am Sunday night right before the cut-off time trying to get a few blogs in.

For some reason today it just hit me that I have not heard from some of my regular friends here on Active Rain in awhile. I scrolled down the My Subscriptions roster and reviewed some of my AR friends who I have missed reading and communicating with.

I received a phone call last week from an agent who has moved to The Woodlands from another state. She said that after reading many of my Localism posts here on Active Rain, that she decided to call me. She and her family moved here a few months ago and used a local agent to help them find their home. She realized that her agent did not know the area that well and that is when she decided to do some homework.

After writing my post the other day about being true to yourself in your writing, a comment has really stuck with me over the past few days. One person posed the question that in order to be featured, one most likely needed a ghost writer or used a professional service to write their blogs. I know that there are ghost writers out there but made me wonder if there are many people here in the Rain that use them.

For those of you participating in the May 31 Day Challenge - today is a day that you have been shooting for. Blogging a post each and every day of May seems at first to be a easy challenge but as the day to day challenges of life strike, sometimes it isn't as easy as it seems.

If you would have asked me one year ago about Active Rain and blogging, I would have never believed the benefits and the blessings that I have found here.

Every now and then I like to take a look back at the Analytics here on Active Rain and give my blogging a good assessment. It is always interesting to note which posts receive the most hits and why?
Often I am quite surprised at the posts that seem to get the most hits while others that I thought would be popular are not.
While ARTS IN THE PARK ~ THE WOODLANDS, TX received meager hits, TEXAS ASSOCIATION REALTORS® ~ CONVENTION, GALVESTON, TEXAS received many hits.

AR FEATURES ARE LIKE A BOX OF CHOCOLATES.... You never know what you're gonna get! One of the coolest things about Active Rain is the occasional surprise of getting a Feature post! This week I just wrote a quick post about my son helping me out this summer in real estate called, My New Assistant.

WITH THIS POST I AM IN THE TOP 50 IN TEXAS! I have to celebrate today. As I enter this post, I finally arrived at the coveted top 50 in Texas on the Leaderboard! Now I feel that this is really something since there are over 11,000 professionals on Active Rain from Texas.
